Hi,

Everyone Who is Considering Attending the Gathering of the Fellowship -July 1-3, 2006 in Toronto -

They have just announced Craig Parker (aka Haldir) will be attending theGathering!

I *loved* Haldir (even with five o'clock shadow), and I am*thrilled* he is coming to Toronto!!

(BTW, Toronto's good fortune is London's mis-fortune. Parker is available to come to Toronto at least partly because they won't be holding a FellowshipFestival in 2006 as they did in 2004 and 2005. Pity! :-()

From the Gathering website -

Craig Parker is beloved by millions of Lord of the Rings fans for hisportrayal of the elf "Haldir". Beyond The Lord of the Rings, Craig has along roster of acting credits in television, film, radio, and stage.

On television, he is best known for his roles in Shortland Street and MercyPeak, and also appeared in Xena and Young Hercules.
For TVNZ he spent two weeks in Kathmandu filming Intrepid Journeys. He appeared in John Laing's thriller No One Can Hear You and in the as yetunreleased Return of the Jackalope, where he and other Rings stars Bruce Hopkins and Sala Baker play themselves.

On stage Craig appeared most recently in Serial Killers last fall at the Derby Playhouse in the UK.

Prior stage work includes Tom Stoppard's Arcadia,Rosencranz and Guildenstern Are Dead, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, TheSeagull, and MacBeth.

Craig was involved in Auckland's Theatre sports for ten years, proving his talent for improvisation and stand-up comedy performance. It was his work on radio plays in 1996 and 1997 that brought him to PeterJackson's attention. He is also a popular MC at all types of events and is in demand for hisability to make any audience feel at home.

Craig is very active in his support of charities and community work, even reading "The Prayer of A Cat" at an Auckland blessing of the animals ceremony. He currently lives in London.
