For the record, should I not do any repainting, this is the current color scheme of my Haldir:

• Leather Vest, Waist Padding & Glove = Fire-Engine Red
• Sleeves = Hologram Gold Small Oval Foil Jersey
• Scale Skirt = Hologram Silver Diamond Foil Jersey
• Skirt = Red Foil Jersey

Guess "Haldir" was at the disco dancing when Galadriel grabbed him, put the armors onto him and sent him to lead the Archers to Helm's Deep. X-D
