Passing Of A Great Artist.......

Gotten the news that yesterday, 11 June 2006 Tim Hidebrandt passed away from complications due to Diabetes. =__=

The passing of a Great Artist this is.

*Moment of Silence*

I always been familiar with Tim and Greg Hidebrandt due to their involvements with the Illustrations for Star Wars and later in 2003, Lord of the Rings. Although their LOTR Illustions are kinda "too fantasy-like" (then again, it was the 1970s, 1980s era illustration), I LOVE their Star Wars ones especially the ones they did for Shadows Of The Empire Cards.

Hope Greg Hidebrandt will continue carrying on the Torch Of Inspiration tho' his other half is now gone and continue to inspire us with beautiful artworks.

Amen

Thank God For Peter Jackson's LOTR!

Yes, as I said, thank God Peter Jackson and Co. decide to do Lord Of The Rings Movies. For all those LOTR Purist out there, you better watch Ralph Bakshi's Lord Of The Rings to see how much better PJ LOTR is in term of entertainment and a bit of accuracy.

You complained about Arwen coming to meet the Hobbit and Strider on their way to Imladris; well, guess who replaced Glorfindel in Ralph Bakshi's LOTR? Legolas! O__O And he looked soooo much like a Pixer! @__@ At least in the movie, Glorfindel WAS in the movie at the Coronation of Aragorn.

And the Orcs and Uruks looks too monster-like that I can't tell which is Orc and which is Uruks, when they are suppose to look more humans as they used to be Elves. And Theoden was so old while he and the Rohirrim wore little to war. o__O Saruman wore Santa Clause Outfits and as Treebeard is so short and fat.

Okay, there's probably so many things I can point out but anyway, thank God I only gotten the Ralph Bakshi's LOTR as a SGD5 VCD and PJ & Co. choose to do LOTR.

Guess What!!!! -__^

Today I dropped by Bugis Junction and the M1 X-Men 3 Roadshow to say "Hi!" to Reno and Company from Movie Mania (they're doing X3 Characters Appearances for M1). After they left to change, I just joined the X-Treme X-Men Challenge for fun on stage. Got to answer 12 questions pertaining to the X-Men Movies and by the nick of my hair, I got 9 answers correct (my opponent got 8) to win.......

LG S5000 Handphone

Woh! After so many years using my inherited-from-my-dad-cause-he-getting-new-handphone Nokia 3210 (I think!) Handphone, I finally get a new one tho' it wasn't what I been thinking of getting (I want one of those new Nokia N series Handphone.....must had watch too much of the N90 etc Ads).

It got a 1.3MP Camera and is the fold kind of compact Handphone. -__^

But the problem is, I love my current Nokia Handphone as it's so old that is not attractive to thief in Singapore and is durable. I am also beginning to pamper it by giving it a new Official Nokia Casing and kept in a Plastic Cover, with a Darth Maul Tatotto cover on the way one of these days when I got the time to paint it. =__=

Guess I could interchange both Handphones here and there to fit the occasion..... Can't pass either one to my younger brother as he's so rough and unreliable (Students are the ones that keep loosing handphones in Singapore and his school is not too good o__O ).

Good luck today! ^__^

Been 3 days at it and still not fully done and it was dusty so in between the runny nose. Maybe I'll post photos of my clean-up room when I'm done.
