Harry Potter Patches Anyone? -__^
Was starting to itch to start on my PoA Slytherin or Gryffindor School Uniform again for that Concerts for Children: El Zello & the Enchanting Orchestra! (SSO) Concert this April 1st so have a look again at some links for making the uniform.

Drop by Patch Palace and to my delight, they now receive CASH Payment in well-concealed envalope (or rather Registered Mail for me). Add to that the fact that they now have the Hogwarts Shield Patch I need for my 1942 Moaning Myrtle School Uniform. \/^__^ So far, I'm eyeing 2 Slytherin PoA Patch, 1 Gryffindor PoA (if I do Hermione for that concert) and 2 Hogwarts for Moaning Myrtle. 2 each will be for both the School Robe and Cloak. -__^ Will check through if the reduce price applies to orders for different house patches but with the same pricetag. Had told Parish/Leah, Lizzy and Himi with the first 2 want to hop in. Will order the earliest end of this week.

So Clare, you want it too? Others? Please e-mail me at darth_eagle @ yahoo . com (no blank spaces in between) if interested. -__^ If the item arrive quickly, can pay and take the item on 20th Feb at the SW/LOTR Meetup. ^__^

Oh! And as a note, I need to do the following things if I do Hermione or Slytherin PoA Female Student (school ties, Cloak, Mary Jane Shoes, Shirt & Socks had been covered):
  • Black Wool-like (or similar) Cloth for Robe
  • Maroon Cotton Cloth for Gryffindor Robe Lining
  • Green Cotton Cloth for Slytherin Robe Lining
  • Charcoal Black Long Sleeves, V-Collar Sweater
  • Skirt
  • Hermione PoA Wand
  • Hermione Wig (order after Chinese New Year)
  • Slytherin Scarf
Will see if I got Black Cloth to spare for the School Robes. And if I don't want to continue doing Hermione after this, I may sell off my Gryffindor School Robe & Tie for the price of the materials and a little extra to cover the cost of my workmanship.
New Photobucket Album & Screencap Links
Created a new Photobucket Album whose album link I can post over at very public places like LOTR_Costumes. So far, am planning to dump in selected photos of my Mouth of Sauron Bust, EVITA or Other Official Jewellery Stuffs, LOTR Exhibition Group Visit Photos and Cosplay Event Photos.

The only forum that will get link to my regular one will be Haldir's Elven Archer Forum since we are more close knited and less people there. -__^

Also, here's are 2 pages containing some screenshots from ROTK:EE Design Gallery:
RotK SEE caps Part 1
RotK SEE caps Part 2

Also an Album that contain photos from Harry Potter 3: Prisoner of Azkarban.

Photoshoot At Cemetary
I had always wanted to have a Gothic Lolita or LOTR photoshoot at a cemetary.

No, not Bidadari Christian Cemetary as they are digging that place up. Not Choa Chu Kang either as it's still new and only flat tombstones other than the place will receive lots of visitors on weekends. Anyhow, I make as well go visit my Grandparents, mother and a few other relative nearby at the Muslim Cemetary (Pusara Aman & Pusara Abadi II).

But at Kranji War Memorial.
The place is wide and clear, other than well maintain. And there are people regulary visiting the place tho' it'll probably be sparse enough if I came early in the morning and leave by late afternoon. And can treat it as an Historical Visit before I one day leave Singapore for 4-5 years to further my studies.

But the problem is, I still have no idea if the place have a toilet. @__@ No toilet, no place to change costumes so can only do 1 photoshoot. My first choice will be my Arwen Mourning Gown and 2nd a new EGA Dress. And of course, the strict rule of "cannot come if having that time of the month" and bringing some flowers to put at the shire other than a headdress to wear should I drop by the Muslim part is still there.

So how?

Anyhow, Feb 15th will be the day Singapore commerate World War II at the Civilian War Memorial in City Hall. Want to go?

As for Kranji War Memorial, it's on 11th Nov and will be celebrated on the Sun nearest to that date:

Remembrance Day in Singapore

In Singapore, this event is of special significance as it commemorates the sacrifices made by the men and women of the Commonwealth forces against the Japanese in World War II. Among those remembered are members of the Singapore Volunteer Corps, the Malay Regiment, Dalforce1, Force Z2 and Operation Rimau3.

It is held at the Kranji War Memorial, where the graves of 4,464 men and women lie and the names of 23,943 others are inscribed on the 12 columns. The ceremony is held on Remembrance Sunday (the Sunday closest to Remembrance Day) at 7:30am. Attended by grassroots and religious leaders, uniformed groups, delegations from the SAF, Ex-Services Association of Singapore, SAF Veterans League and Red Cross, the general public and most importantly, the surviving veterans and loved ones, it is a solemn occasion where prayers are held and tributes are paid to the brave men and women who had given their lives in the defence of Singapore.

Although both wars have long ended and we enjoy peace and security in Singapore, we should continue to commemorate this day not only for the soldiers who had displayed the will and courage to fight but also for the lessons it conveys - that war is a cruel affair and we must do what we can to avoid the bloodshed it brings.

For My Birthday Or Leaving On A Jet Plane.....

  • No Stuffed Toys please unless it's Haldir or Mini Maul. My bed is half-occupied with my kids who bound to follow me when I go off somewhere to further my studies so I don't need any more additionals.
  • No kinky Adult toys. You are not going to Stimulate me, eh? o__O
  • No Organizer, Diary, Notebook etc unless it's LOTR or SW related and I don't owned one so you are sure I'm gonna use it
  • No LOTR/SW/HP stuffs who doesn't lie within my favourite characters like Darth Vader, Darth Maul, Zam Wesell, Haldir, Galadriel, Arwen, Mouth of Sauron, Ringwraith, Witchking etc etc. Oh! I don't support Cruelty to JarJarBinks but I can use without him on my display case!
  • Money will be most appreciated. -__^
For this birthday on Feb, other than money, I could use my long wanted 12" Ringwraith Posable Doll or Prologue Elven Warrior/Elven Archer Bust or 12" Vader vs Maul Posable Dolls or Twilight Witchking Statue or Morgul Lord Statue etc etc. -__^

Why am I saying this? Well, Lai San left for Australia last Thur and we gotten her this Pink Cow-like soft toy and an Edible Male G-String. Thot of getting her an Inflatable Male Doll but it's not at the Adult Shops we went to so back to a stuffed toy. -__^ Hope she have a great 1 year in Australia! ^__^

Oh! Want to go for this in my Hogwarts Garb?

Elna Sewing Machine For SGD120?
Should I get this sewing machine since it seems so cheap?

Sewing machine - Elna "Diva"

The descriptions said
This machine was won as a prize 7 years ago and was only used a few times. Is in
good working order and comes with all accessories required. It is an electronic
sewing machine - was valued at $3000 at the time of winning. Buyer will not be
disappointed as this is a bargain. No shipping provided - winner must
collect.

Sound very tempting as it surely got a LOT more stitches than my current Jenome one. -__- And the bidding will end around the time I get my pay so there is cash to pay for it if I'm really serious about it. And the only infos I can find about it is this:

1992 Elna Diva - The sewing machine that can do it all with 370 stitches, 7 buttonholes, alphabets, monograms.
What do you think? o__O

EDIT: Darn! Someone used "Buy It Now" after I posted the above. Sad as I really could use a sewing machine that can sew more than 6 stitiches. =__=

Notes To Yours Truly.....
These websites have great drawings of the Emblems, Flags/Banner and certain props, other than Poetic Lyrics and Close-Ups of props from the LOTR Movies:

The Two Towers Soundtrack

ROTK Web Extras

A little note on my bid to do an Advertising Website for the SW Group, I'm almost done. Just need to scan a new scan of that photo from the newspaper of a buncha American Kids who wear GHETTO costumes to the TPM Charity Premiere, try to dig some group photos of Shawn's SW Costume Parade in 1999 for comparision from the CD-RW and tidy up the Links page. Probably dump the whole thing over at my Tripod.com account with the Main page post over under my Tripod account and Geocities. Hate Geocities Limited Bandwidth. =__=

Should I Do It? o__O
Had been itching to have another LOTR Costume from an Illustration done out of boredom. I know I said before about getting the Arwen Blue one, like the one Kurama did in early 2003 done but thinking back about my aim to have her whole wardrobe from the movie, I think I'm better off doing other characters' costumes.

The past couple of days, while surfing online at work, I saw this Alan Lee Illustration of Galadriel for the LOTR Novels:

Beautiful isn't it? And it's quite similar in design to the movie version of her Fellowship Greeting/Mirror Dress so I can use similar pattern to it. The only thing I'm aiming rite now is to avoid Princess Cut/Seams so that means waiting till my body is slimmer.

Materialwise, I see Real or Polyester Silk Satin for the dress with Habotai or Polyester Lining. The Cape, maybe I'll go for Chiffon or Double Georgette. Hmmm...the shop selling that Silk Chiffon I gotten for my Galadriel Prologue Dress (but seems more suited for her Mirror Dress) is selling it for SGD5/yard now so I think I may use it. Will just need to add a couple of beads to weight it down or something. -__^

And I'm also itching to order another Galadriel-like wig just in case. o__O

I WANT!!!!!! =__=

Dark Horse and Gentle Giant fans alike will want to take notice of the Star Wars: Crimson Empire book and exclusive bust-up set slated for release in late April. Packaged along with Dark Horse's classic Star Wars graphic novel, Crimson Empire, collectors will get two Gentle Giant bust-ups, including an exclusive blue holographic Darth Sidious figure. This figure will never be replicated and is only available in this highly limited package! Also included will be a gorgeous ruby red Royal Guard. Both bust-ups are between 2"-3" tall.

Crimson Empire is one of Dark Horse's most popular Star Wars titles. In all the Empire, there are no more fearsome warriors than the Emperor's Imperial Guard, and none is more loyal than Kir Kanos. But when Carnor Jax--the most formidable of this elite brotherhood--betrays the Emperor and orders the murder of the Guard, Kir must escape to carry out his duty to avenge his master.

The Crimson Empire graphic novel features the work of Mike Richardson, Randy Stradley, and Paul Gulacy. This package is a Direct Market exclusive and is scheduled for an April 27 release.
I already got the individual comic but had been planning to get the TradePaperBag one for quite some time since it was released. Now it seems to be a great time to get one but the money....... @__@

Addicted To Hellsing....
Arrrhhhh!!! What will happen to Arucard in Episode 14 onwards????? I WANT TO KNOW!!!!

Yub, had started watching Hellsing since the previous Thur and true enough, it is very interesting. I seems to fanci interesting Vampire-like movies except Buffy with Bram Stoker's Dracula on the top of the list. Hmmmm.....a Vampire Monster with a dash of humanity. -__^

Also gotten the VCD last Thur and altho' it stated to be Japanese/Mandarin Dialogue and English Subtitle, it's actually Japanese/English Dialogue. And the Episode 12 Japanese Dialogue is faulty or else my DVD-Recorder can read it (yes, thanks to my DVD Recorder/Player, I get the option to choose the dialogue I want to hear -__^ )

Arrrrhhhh & Woh!
Okay, I was playing Lord Of The Rings: The Battle For Middle-Earth again today at work. -__^

The bad part is, I had to start from scratch again as the computer I'm on had system failure so there goes my game at Eastfold.

The good thing is, I reached Helm's Deep within 6 hours so that is a big achievement for someone who hasn't played RPG game shun for The Sims. ^__^

Oh! For the record, I gotten a SGD108 Brown Suede Boots from Mark & Spencer for my Elven Archer. It was in the rite color and when I tried it, it fits me like a glove so I just can't afford NOT to get it. Will make the Boot/Shin Cover for it later. -__^

LOTR: The Battle For Middle-Earth
What can I say? ^__^ I'm getting hooked onto the game Lord Of The Rings: The Battle For Middle-Earth, tho' I'm trying to limit it to once every 2-3 days play at the Gameaxis Lan Gaming Arena at my workplace. :-P Am currently at the Good Rohan-Eastfold and can only continue playing in the morning of tomolo or on Tue when there is little visitors.

Other than that, I wrote the list of SW Costumes I have to complete after I'm done with my Elven Archer Armor the other day. The toll stands at 17 costumes & Armor! O__O
  1. TPM Sabe, Royal Decoy (Black Gown)
  2. Singapore Jedi-Padawan
  3. Singapore Jedi-Master
  4. ROTS Padme Green Robe
  5. TPM Padme Naberrie
  6. AOTC Padme White Battlesuit
  7. Si-Addien Jedi Padawan
  8. Si-Addien NJO
  9. AOTC Boba Fett
  10. Imperial Officer
  11. TPM Handmaid Maroon Cloak
  12. Darth Prion
  13. Darth Maul Sith Training
  14. ANH Manga Princess Leia Senator Outfit
  15. Imperial Royal Guard Ver. 2.0
  16. Biker Scout
  17. Zam Wesell

Ya, the last 2 will depend on my time and money but we'll see how. -__-

I thought LOTR Costuming is money consuming as accurate materials is need but Star Wars is a LOT worse. =__=
