Why? I had been doing; processing and writing the resumes of my LOTR Team Members for the SSC Assignment that I hasn't got the time yet to complete my own resume and costumes. >__<

Well, it's the price to pay for being a perfectnist and wanting to impress the judges so they'll surely choose all the members in my LOTR Group for the assignment. Anyhow, we deserve it more than majority of the other people who came to the LOTR Line Party who are also gonna apply for the assignment. Come one! We know of this work since Oct 2003 and majority of the people in my group had been working on their costumes and props for months, way before even November 2003. Our costumes may not had been realized till December 2003 but we had spent 2-3 months, with Baka like me 1+ year to do the research and assembling of materials for our costumes by December 2003. Moreover, some of us even took the trouble to make a new costume just for the Ceremony even though our current one is accurate already.

Anyhow I know in my heart, Ann will make a good choice. I can also take up Roger's offer to help those who had "volunteered" themselves for the Roadshow to surely get a place at the Ceremony. Well, will do anything to get what we want! -__^

Okay, off to continue doing the Resumes. Am squeezing my head to do Kagami's one with Fariz, Hira, Hazel and mine still to be processed. -__-

Forget To Say . . . . .
I'm buying over Maggie's first Arwen Chase Dress Belt Buckle for USD20, not including Postal. Could use it for my future Arwen Battle Outfit as since I'm such a bum at making such little thing (READ: I Don't Have Oven and I really flunk at arts). Had e-mailed her the moment I saw her posting about selling it at the LOTR_Costume ML and had given her my address just now. Tomolo during my break, I'll find Money Changer and exchange for USD29 first to get ready. Hope she use the best and most reasonable priced shipping for the buckle.

Ps: I think I just should look for the Maroon Velvet in Velour or Velveteen instead of Silk or Rayon or Polyester Velvet. Seems like Maroon is hard to get in Singapore and I'm running out of time. Need to start throwing myself at SW Costuming Feet this June onwards. -__^ Will take a look at Spotlight tomolo during my break. Why I saying this too is because I just realized that the real costume is really a sleeveless tunic and I'm getting good at making sleeveless tunics. :Þ Oh! Guess that means buying more buttons from Cat or asking someone to help me get it from the other site?

I'm also asking Judy to help sell me a few of the Elven and Hobbit German Ears at their Selling Price plus the cost of the shipping from USA to me in Singapore. I need to get another set of Elven Ears in case my current one get damaged or anything as I'm using it very regulary now. -__^ Hobbit is just for fun, in case I suddenly want to do Merry (the Horror!! O__O Another costume to my list!).

I don't care, I WANT the Limited Edition one because of the Plaque! >__<

On the good point, I had finish sewing the Inner Tunic for my Haldir Marsh Warden and now only left to shape the bottom, finish the raw edges with Fray Stop and then Hemming, and then put on the Press Studs. Will see if I can finish it by tomolo, plus a cloak. Then again, I may ended up looking like Elorfiril or one of the misc. elves seen in Lothlorien. -__-

Okay, got to go and settle some stuffs and then off to continue with my Marsh Warden Suit. Wish me luck! ^__^

I need a BIG help in the writting of my Resume for the SSC job, especially that I got a little glit with my qualification (let's just say my highest qualification is GCE 'A' Level -__- unless you call completing all except 1 bloody stupid module call Project B qualify me for a Poly Cert). Maybe I'll ask people like Sarah or Hassan or the 2 guys at the Roadshow for some help as I'll like to submit my resume by next Mon. Sheesh! I forget that I got only 3 more weeks to the exhibition and I still haven't started on Rumil!!!! >__<

Sheesh! @__@ Are they desperate for someone to take over the organizing of SCC Outings? o__O Of all people me? I know I'm a "good" planner as it's in my name (ya, I had one of those certs that states the qualities of someone with my real name done before and it states that I'm a good party planner) but I just have way too many things on my hands now and with me planning to work full-time for SSC next month. Planning the LOTR Costumes Parade already gave me headaches and making me more bald.

Moreover, I'm trying to pull myself away from the Cosplay Community to go back to my roots aka Costuming where we pay a LOT more attentions to details and research than just doing as many costumes as possible per year. I'm also getting pissed off with the kind of newbies there is in the Cosplaying Community that I'm finding more faults than pros in Cosplaying in Singapore. Heck! I rather be famous Internationally, among people all over the world who give their sweat and blood to the creation of their costumes and props than to be famous in Singapore. I seek to put happy faces on the kids' faces than to be featured on the local newspaper. -__^ I had seen and felt it before and I awaits to do it again and again and again. -__^

A Few Down And More To Go . . . .
Kinda done the Photo Pages for Fiona, Victoria & Qing Yuan and with Sena's, Parish, Yazid, Kagumi, Hazel on the way. In total, got about 18 pages to do for the group members including me.

Well, at this rate, think I can only submit Fiona's, Victoria, Sena and maybe SarahC & Kagumi by the end of this week. The rest, hopefully by the end of next week while mine and some more others by Feb 28th.

Okay, off to try do my Haldir Marsh Warden Suit tonite or I'll have to wear my Rose Dress again this weekend for my job. -__- Oh! Think I can't wear my Elven Ear or even the Ear Tips cause my ears are still itching like Hell! >__<

Well, actually it ITCH like hell! >__< My ears are still a bit swollen and red like some burn victim skin. And like they say about recovering skin, it itch like hell and the Calamine Lotion has no effect at all tho' mine also has menthol in it. -__- The worse part is, last nite in my sleep I scratch it so there goes the recovering skin. -__-

Hope the tip of the ear will recover or I can't even put on the Woochies Ear Tips on my ears to give me the Elven Ears this Fri onwards. -__-

*Pop In Head*
Hmm, had been gone for almost a week it seems with no rambling and mumbling to myself. o__O Well, let just say I got a bit too much stuffs to do currently other than spent hours on the net.

For a start, I got a "job" as a "Promoter" for the LOTR Motion Picture Trilogy Exhibition Roadshows thanks to Ann and the roadshow organizer, Roger. What I have to do is either come in my LOTR costume or White Shirt & Pants and distribute the exhibition pamplets cum calender. Also have to tell the public what's the exhibition is all about and get them to buy the tickets at the roadshow. Pay is okay at Officially SGD5.50/hour but in reality a bit higher. So far had done 4 days at Junction 8 and Temasek Polytechnic and I got 6 more days to go at least at Plaza Singapura and Tampinese Mall. After that will be unconfirmed jobs at Suntec and a buncha other places which may include KL. O__O

As for a more permanent job, I can now apply for the job at the Singapore Science Centre during the run of the Exhibition only now BUT I have no idea how to write a resume. -__- So I better find a way to do it by this weekend or I'll be dead.

Okay, will talk more about my life since the past couple of weeks later. Got to settle my mails, start on the LOTR Group Members' Resume pages and start making my Haldir Sword from Cardboards and his Marsh Warden Suit Mock-Ups.

Hope I can stay up tonite till tomolo morning to finish the sword and the mock-up.

Oh! Someone selling the Pamplet cum Calender at eBay now for USD1 each. Well, I can kapur a lot more than that and sell it off if I want but I think I better not yet.

Ps: My Ears is swollen from not removing the Spirit Gum on the nite I removed my ears and trying to scratch it off instead. Ya, ya; I had been warned by people like Cat at the ML last Dec but experiences kinda make me not follow it. Well, had learned it the HARD way it seems. >__< Hope it will recover by this Fri or I'll have to wear the Woochies Space Ear Tips instead.

Pss: Bleak it is for me to finish my Rumil Armor by the SSC Assignment. Must settle my Haldir Marsh Warden Garb as a back-up plan.

My Bro Bought ROTK DVD from JB. . . .
Ya, now I can slowly jot down the monologue Frodo said after he return to Bag's End and a lot more phrases. But still, I'm planning to go watch ROTK only for probably the last time tomolo at GV JurongPoint as that is the only of 3 cinemas still showing it as of yesterday. -__- Why must Singapore Cinemas so fast stop the run of a popular movie? Why??????? @__@

Other than that, I went to Chinatown with Neesa yesterday to show her the Patterned Silk Chiffon I saw that she could use for her Galadriel Prologue Dress. The fabric still cost SGD9.50/m from the original SGD12.50 but when I do get it, I really planning to bargain till at most SGD8/m. I'm gonna get about 6m anyway just to be on the safe side and I love gowns that really flair anyway. -__^ The pattern for the Prologue-like dress asked for 6-8yards of cloths anyway. As for the lining, will probably turn to Silk Satin or one of the higher end Satin, tho' not Silky I think cause that one tho' cheap is a bit stiff for an Elven Dress IMHO. The sleeves and "cowl" collar will be Chiffon or Double Geogette and I'll use all the lace pieces I gotten previously to create the design on the sleeves. I'm also itching to add a proper tight sleeves under the extremely wide sleeves of the dress as I seldom wear things that show my arms unless at home. :? Hmmm. . . .

On the way home, I dropped by Borders to check out that Reading Light and it cost SGD20.90. @__@ Decide to just get a normal torchlight to the cinema instead for me to jot down costuming notes instead of getting that Reading Light. I just don't have SGD20 to spare for such a small light anyway. -__- Also tried to check out wherther they have The Art Of The Return Of The King and got to know it still hasn't arrived. MPH CityLink at City Hall already got it but Borders still haven't. Hmm, maybe I should just tumpang sekaki with Danny and order it from Amazon.com instead as it's only ~SGD41.50 compared to Border's & MPH's SGD60+++, and I may also want to get the CD At Dawn in Rivendell: Selected Songs and Poems from The Lord of the Rings. But for the The Lord of the Rings: Motion Picture Trilogy Soundtrack, it's better for me to get it from Singapore as Borders has it for SGD67.95 while HMV around that price too compared to Amazone.Com's ~SGD84.

Then, I dropped by Simply Toys and saw that they got the 5 Rings of Power (Nenya, Vilya, OneRing, Ring of Barahir & Ring of Witchking) for sale as a set for SGD199.90/SGD190 (Members), making it SGD39.90 each. Hmm, not bad considering Nenya & Barahir going for SGD59.90 each while next door at Caesar's selling each for SGD94. O__O Will have to SMS Qing Yuan as he loose my Vilya on Sat >__< and I really want to get the other 3 rings of power to keep (my Ring of Barahir is fading anyway).

Then, off to Caesar to get a tube of Metal Glo to polish my 3 LOTR Swords this weekend. Cost me SGD8.41 after member's discount (tho' I don't have one XD ). Now I just need to get a plain o' polishing cloth from the hardware store or something and off to polishing my swords this weekend. ^__^

Oh! While surfing, I found this website selling a cheaper and more expansive version of Evenstar. o__O I wonder if I should ask at the LOTR_Costume ML about their opinions on this "Official" LOTR Merchandise. o__O

Okay, off to clear my E-Mail, answer a few posts at the LOTR_Costume ML and then get my stuffs ready for later today. Have to go to Singapore Polytechnic to meet Roger from the Singapore Science Centre about the Roadshow. I hope I don't get lost cause I had been to SP only once and it was a long, long time ago. -__-

And I still haven't start on my Haldir Marsh Warden suit which I'm suppose to wear this weekend at the LOTR Marathon. >__<

Chingay 2004 & LOTR Movies Marathon. . . .
Participate in the Chingay Parade yesterday in my Arwen Rose Dress as part of the audience participation segment. We kinda represent the LOTR Fans in Singapore and 7 (Me, Qing Yuan, Victoria, Sharm, Fiona, Yazid & Xeno) of us came. No there was NO Cosplayers in the segment we are in except us. -__- Anyhow, we enjoyed ourselves last nite and have plans to participate again next year if the segment will be around. The question now, where to do LOTR or SW (my Zam has to be 80% completed by then)

Anyhow, I saw that guy who said he and group doing the SW Fanfilm called "The Pig Menace" back in 1999. He has 2 of his people there dressed as Amidala and some Jedi wearing RUBIES costumes and WEARING PLASTIC MASKS! Can you believe it? Of all things, wearing Rubies costumes and wearing Plastic Mask like some 8-year-old kid during Halloween! >__< My gosh! That is kinda an insult for such an official event like this. >__< And from what Xeno told me, they really must had been some rich kids cause they have no respect in the handling of the Master Replica Lightsabres; they just throw it on the floor when settling down. Hey! Even tho' SW don't exist in Real Life, a weapon is a weapon and you have to treat is with respect. Heck! I spar with my Hasbro toy one but I still put it down gently on the floor whenever I needed to and handle it with respect as tho' my life depend on it. Even our dear Danny who is rich doesn't do that and take very good care of his stuffs. Frankly, if want to do SW, do a proper costume lah! Can't make it, then assembled it like I used to do and still do here and there now. I don't ask them to tailor make expansive ones, assembled also can as long as it looks like it belong to SW. Pity last nite we were doing LOTR or else we will put them to shame with our SW Costumes. -__-

Other than that, I also gotten 5 tickets for the LOTR Movies Marathon this 7th Feb at Cathay Orchard Cineleisure. The movie will start at 8.15pm and end around 5am the next morning, in time for the morning train. XD Sharm & Danny had reserved theirs while Fiona interested in it if she can convince her parents to let her go for the night. So I still got 1 extra ticket left and I better find someone to take it as it's SGD25 while is still a LOT of money to me. -__- I'll wear a LOTR Costume to the Marathon and I'm aiming for Haldir or just be his sister who took over his post after he died (READ: I donno if I can bind successfully! >__< ). Maybe not the full 6 layers since I still haven't gotten the fabric for the Inner Tunic but at least looking like Haldir's Garb. -__^

Oh! Did I mentioned Sharm's Fountain Guard Helmet turned out well. And I ALMOST break her cheek piece while examining it. -__- So sorry Sharm! -__-

Okay, I'm sleepy not and gonna catch a quick nap or something. Will talk more later or tomolo. -__^ I been wanting to post about my fears about that selection process for the Opening Ceremony of the LOTR Trilogy The Exhibition this March. Fine, we knock out 95% of the other people at the Line Party but still . . . I fear that some of our effort, some doing a new costumes just for the event will go to waste just because the judges chooses to select the other people whose costumes are actually half-pass-six in real life. >__< Hey! Let's face it; all the costumes except for the BR Arwen & Female Ranger sucks! And that Elven Ranger (Whom had been labelled as "The Bitch") want to show cleave, then better look at my Rose Dress cause that dress REALLY show all my cleave that it can rival Liv's when she wore the Mourning Dress, when I wear it properly as how it suppose to be! Even Iman's costume don't even look like Eowyn's White Wool one. At least with Nessa, although currently she didn't wear the blonde wig, her costume is well done and does look like the orginal at the first glance. -__^ Also she choose to do the Green Dress which is seldomly done by others. Must remember to snap photos of her in it with the Blonde Wig and send it over to ACS-LOTR Scrapbook. I owned Cat not only money (the rest of the payment for the Woochies Ears) but also 2 reports and the photos of each members of my LOTR Team. I'm sooooo proud of them! ^__^
