Am Broke But Happy . . . .
Settle a few stuffs "yesterday":
-Cloth for Galadriel's Gown
-Strapless from Robinson
-Check out Spotlight Orchard
-Trimmings for Galadriel's Gown

For Galadriel's Gown, I ended up with what looks to me as Japanese Crepe Satin but was said to be Silk Satin. Actual price was SGD5.50/m but I managed to bargain for SGD5 cause I gotten 7m. Wanted to get Satin Back Crepe but it doesn't have the Lilac/Lavender color I need. Anyhow, the fabric doesn't seems to be that translucent.

Also gotten the trimmings for her collar, above elbows and the belt. Both are Brocades and feel quite thick. The collar one cost SGD1/m (gotten 1.5m) while Belt SGD3/m (2m). Also spotted a slightly plain one (SGD1.60/m?) that I can use for the bottom of the skirt since with the 2 are shiny gold (and I can't find the Gold Ribbons at Spotlight that is not wired and is at least 1" wide). Now to find out how much I'll need and to see if that trimming is thin enough to allow the skirt to drape (if it's isn't, then I'll use some cheapo Gold Ribbons from Spotlight or that shop at AMK Central).

While on Galadriel's Gown, I'm having 2nd thots on getting it done in time for CosMas. Firstly, it's the cost of the tailoring; I fear it'll go beyond SGD70 which is my miserable budget for it. Secondly, the belt which I must do myself and that means having to sew/iron onto the Brocade triming some crystals or beads and then sew/iron on a hard backing to make it thicker. There is absolutely NO ROOM for Booboos (and I have not much idea what backing to use). Thirdly, the Crown which I also must do myself. Maybe not much problem cause I'm opting for a simplified version of the movie one but since I haven't try it out (and only got my current Blonde Wig as the crown measure), there is a risk for Booboos. Forthly, there is only 12 days till I leave for KL (fine, she can do it within a week but still . . . )

But since I had decided today to delay my Myrtle's Pinafold to another time (again! @__@ ), I may barely afford the tailoring cost. Will have to check with my seamstress on Monday or Tuesday.

Now that brings us to Myrtle's Pinafold (or what I think it is!). Today, I didn't get to look throughly at the cloths at the cloth shop (both Chinese ones and more) cause I arrived late and spent too much time deciding and buying the trimming. Anyhow, I spotted a few that might suit my taste for Light Charcoal Grey in the usual School Uniform fabrics book but they cost a LOT. The Tropical Wool ones cost SGD20+/m while the other the cheapest was SGD10/m. >__< I'll need at least 4m for the pinafold and that pricing is too much for my already so miserable budgets. The uncle recommanded Cotton or Polyester which cost SGD4-6/m but they don't have the multiple grey tones I need for the Pinafold. Fine, I got a lot of flexibility with Myrtle cause the actual design and fabric of what's under her Robe is still questionable (and the ones we see her wearing supposely had been weathered heavily) but I really want it to be as close as possible to my assumptions and not far from the colors used for the present day student's skirts/pants. Well, looks like for the June HP cosplay, I'll wear my vest and YJC Skirt and make sure my Robe is closed at all time so people wouldn't get to see how inaccurate is my uniform. >__< Looks like Myrtle is gonna be a long term project like the rest!

Anyhow, the uncle at the shop found for me the same fabric as I gotten for my Neo Coat and future Myrtle's Robe. It's 45" though and the uncle didn't really say how much it cost (suspect the cheapest will be SGD4.50). So I told him to put it aside for another time when I'm sure how much I should get and got the money.

Later on, I had my dinner at Raffles' Hospital Cafeteria. Had Fishballs Noodle Soup costing SGD3 and it was very nice (Aaaaaa! The miracles of eating there once a month/bi-monthly/quaterly). I had actually eaten it before there at the first time I ate at the Cafe but this time, I choose the soup instead of dry (and good thing I did cause I asked for too much Chili Padi as usual!). One of these days when I can spare a lot more cash, I really want to try the Western Food there which may be in 1-3 months' time?

Anyhow, after my appointment with Raffles' Hospital Cafeteria, I went to Spotlight Orchard to spot any last minute sale. Well, there isn't any and the cloth section is a lot messier than before. So I went over to the craft side and looked around for the buttons for Neo's Coat. Only found 1 card with 4 buttons (the 5th button was chipped and a size larger); never mind, Neo's coat won't get done till much later in Sept or Oct. Then I spotted that all the Krylon Metal paint and Primer cost SGD10 each for VIP members. So I gotten a can of White Primer. Spotted a nice Butterfly on a pole brooch costing SGD3.29 so I gotten it too for either my Arwen or Galadriel's cloak (if I ever get to do it!). I also spotted Kaika but she was busy on the phone. When I get the items paid, I was charged SGD10.63 and to my horror, there is another 20% discount for the Primer even though SGD10 was already it's discounted price. Should had gotten another can of Krylon Color or Primer or Metal Paint.

Then, off to Robinson to finally get my Strapless. Gotten Wacoal which I should had gotten back in Feb and it cost me SGD37.40. @__@ Well, it's cheaper than my usual Mark & Spencer ones (the last time I gotten one myself, it was SGD59.90! But it's very comfortable) so that is a little comfort. It's just nicely fit me and it seems I can't do without the straps so I got to get one of those plastic clear straps soon.

Okay, that's all my report for my day outside the house. Will ramble more later today.

Finally Gotten My Issue Of Roadshow.
Went to Kinokuniya Liang Court just now to get it before it disappear. Cost me SGD22 but it's worth every cent cause it got 6 photocards of the main characters from LOTR: The Two Tower. Well, since those cards are being sold for SGD6-15/pc, it worth a lot to me.

I was also naughty just now at Kino and bought COSMO (COStume MOdel Magazine) #002 which cost SGD22.40. Gotten it cause it show nice pictures of cosplayers from Japan (got Harry Potter ones too!) and some guide on basic costume construction, make-up and tips. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll also get #001 next month which was also there. Yub, no Sushi Salmon for me and probably till July in favor of the magazine.

While at Pastime Toys, I discovered that the aunty can order the full IRG cloak and helmet for SGD300 from USA. Wonder who's the culprit who is selling it cause IMHO, all serious IRG either made their own or commision it to someone nearby. Hmm, the helmet the max will cost SGD150 (the cost of mine was USD45 + USD41 shipping) so that makes the cloak SGD150! @__@ Bloody expansive! Fine, I may pay that price if it's LisaFett who made it (cause she make one that is as accurate as can be, with the same velvet used on screen and with velvet lining based on ROTJ design and years of research with Azeem as her ginny pig -__^ ) but not others. How much did I spend on my cloak? SGD18 for fabric and a day for cutting and sewing. The most, I'll spend SGD72 on fabric and that is still half of what was charged (the sewing part, if using my method is very simple and I seems to make it faster as I made more cloaks). Anyhow, I don't like the idea cause the helmet MUST be repainted and this will cause it to not match the cloak later. Well, maybe I'm just the typical serious SW Costumer, who will sweat directly for their costume no matter what.

Okay, gonna do some net surfing, do more work on my websites and try to recharge Celebro so tomolo when there is electricity disruption, I can still use him for a couple of hours.

Hmm, I can hear Mini Maul wailing and sulking in the corner over me getting the COSMO magazine

Some Things Just Give Me The Shivers
Watch The Matrix on Celebro a few times now and I kinda got shivers when I reach certain parts. Due to the usual things lor, especially that I haven't thot about it for a couple of weeks cause was preoccupied with my LOTR Costumes. Moreover, I haven't get to watch Trauma for months now; can't seems to find out when it's showing time on Discovery Channel. Well, if IT had happened, I wouldn't be living this life rite? Yes, I most likely had been more happier and more matured. Anyhow, it give me the mood to continue writing my altergo REAL back story. Okay, maybe a few more paragrahps cause I'm a bad storyteller but at least, I'll start recording it.

Also in a little mood to add a few more paragraphs to Darth Prion/Si-Addien back story. Actually, I just wrote a crappy ending to it since whatever I wrote before had gone down the drain when Celeborn went into Coma on Dec 31st 2001. Still must write the centre of the story, how Darth Vader really found her and trained her. Yes, that means I must re-read #1 of my Darth Maul Comic. And I still haven't figure out what name to use for that Jedi Master she fought with and the one who gave her, her scar. Well, I'll finish it someday. I just lost the touch for storytelling these days. Wait . . . I also forget where I put the draft for that FanFic. @__@

Okay, back to doing my Websites.

Finally Decide To Buy The Matrix VCD
Cost me SGD9.40 (5% extra discount from the promotion price of SGD9.90). Am going to start watching it now; will talk more later. -__^

Anyhow, from my Cosplay Wishlist on the left, I might go as Galadriel for CosMas IF I can get the gown done by then and make the crown myself. Wig, hopefully I will get it by then, if not I gonna have a great time combing my current one. @__@ Well, think Elrond will need his Mother-In-Law on his back while Arwen (Aisyah) will need her grandma to back her up (well, my interpretation of the Aragorn-Arwen back story was that Galadriel was partially responsible for Arwen to choose Aragorn cause while he was in Lothlorien, she dressed him up so finely and send him to spend his days with Arwen! -__^ )

Off to The Matrix rite now ^__^

Rambling About My Coming Costumes. . .
Got only 2 costumes to send to the seamstress by end of this month (Tuesday I'm getting my money! ^__^ )
-Galadriel Gown (Still haven't gotten the fabric; will this Tues or Wed)
-Myrtle's Pinafold (as above >__< )

Budget for both is not more than SGD150 for tailoring cost. Must remember to beg like hell to get the lowest price as possible. Or maybe for Myrtle (since I need her before 20th June) I use another seamstress? It's a basic Pinafold anyway with just 2 extra pleats and I got my Pinafold as a basic sample, so I DON'T expect it to cost more than SGD60 for tailoring (come on, I gotten my Pinafold for around SGD30-40 anyway!).

Other than that, I haven't got the mood to do my websites these days. One reasons cause I can't view my pictures in Celebro so it's kinda slow to get what I want to post. Another is that most of the stuffs non-SW are inside my CD-RWs, so another burden to get what I need to post on my websites. The other is the darn recharging outlet and Celebro keep suddenly loosing power while I'm working on it although the battery is fully charged. Hai . . . need a few hundreds bucks to fix it but I can't spare the money rite now cause Celebro can still function as long as I take certain percautions (although still quite risky).

Will have to do a 2nd attempt at releasing my money next week. I got my mom's Death Cert (photocopied of course!) and I can sneak off my Birth Cert for a while in the afternoon. Will see what happen. It's my money for Heaven's Sake, not my mom or my dad so I have full rights to it! And POSBank is only borrowing that money, it's NOT theirs!

Off to bath and then probably sleep.
*Drool, Drool*
TORN had posted high resolution photos from LOTR: ROTK. ^__^ Had saved all of them.

Now I kinda itch to do Arwen Blood Red Gown again. @__@ Well, no money to spare for it this year so I really hope in ROTK, they really show the Funeral of Aragorn and Arwen dying in Lothlorien so my Arwen Mourning Gown will be ROTK accurate. -__^

A Silver Lining In Sight?
I think I finally figured out what is under Myrtle's Robe: A Grey Pinafold! ^__^ Saw CoS DVD again tonigh and I finally spotted tell-tale signs of Pinafold:
Box Pleats that start from above/below the breast position, loose cloth belt just above the hips etc. Now that explain why the collar of her "vest" is vertical, instead of V like Tom's or the current Hogwart's students. That sound good. ^__^

The only problem I'll face is that I must do it myself or tailor out cause no secondary school to my knowledge has Grey Pinafold. All are in the various shades of Blue. And I think the pleats are 4-5 on each sides (my Anderson one has 3-4 per side).

Will see what I can do as I need this uniform by 20th June (Book release is on 21st June).
%$#*@!&@!* Why Didn't I Realized It Earlier? >__<
My Neo Coat closed on the WRONG side!!!!!!! >__< The 20+ buttons are suppose to be on the RIGHT side and not the left! It's suppose to be a Men's Coat anyway! Darn! Now I really, really must get Version 2.0 done. Fine, it'll give me a chance to get the rite materials and correct cut (I got lots of time till Sept) but it'll cost me another SGD100 for the tailoring and donno how much for the materials. >__< And I must sell off my Neo Coat (Starting Price USD60) as soon as possible to afford the new set. Hai . . .maybe it is my fault. I spent the least time researching on this coat which is quite unlike me. I also didn't do a full sketch of the costume.

Okay, back to Square One for me. @__@

On another news, I think I had found the brand for the closest good quality replica of Neo's Reloaded Shades at my usual Optical. But must get them to order me the correct color (Black) cause the one they have at hand is Green.

Picture Of The Day:

Coruscant Guards!!! ^__^

They are my 2rd Favourite Troopers after the Imperial Royal Guard. Fall in love with them after I saw Luke in one in Shadows Of The Empire (can't remember wherther the Collectors' Cards or Ads or Action Figure). Heheheheee, I will go for this suit instead of the other troopers (not including the IRG of course, especially the Crimson Empire Armor!) if I got the cash, body and someone will help make me one! ^__^ And the presence of my SOTE Luke Action Figure will make the constructions a bit easier (oh no! I think I want to get one more so I can open one to display and examine.)
Forget To Post This One:

PISCES & B-TYPE
February 19 - March 20

Personality: Your sense of humor and shining personality automatically puts you in a favorable position at any social gathering. There is this very strong sense of determination in you, which means that you pursue your goals at all times. Your weak point is that you get bored of things too easily. This is due to your artistic abilities, which occupies your mind with various creative thoughts.

Love Tendency: The danger of getting bored easily also affects your relationships because your love starts quickly and fades away that way, too. You tend to devote all your time to your love interest with phone calls and pamper them with letters and presents. But this feeling only lasts until they show interest in you. Just be careful that you don't get a taste of our own medicine. You have a lot of pride and none of your relationships will be stable until your actual marriage.

Life: There's no hint of dishonesty in you, which also leads to many people trusting you. Your impeccable manner brightens anybody's day. This asset would make you a suitable contender as an employee in the service sector.

Match
Good Match: The best fitting guardians for you are AB-type and O-type Cancers, Virgos, and Pisces. They have a way to pamper you in a very delicate way. O-type Taurus will give you unlimited affection and entertain you with humor.
Bad Match: Both of you are fickle in nature and that's where the arguments usually start. But these arguments turn into huge battlegrounds that neither of you are likely to give in. You and A-type Sagittarius will split up end up in the end, while the blame for this breakup shifts to your direction. You will also not benefit from A-type Gemini because nothing you try will ever satisfy them.
Started Singing The "I AM BROKE" Song . . .
Well, while talking about doing one's own Padme White Battlesuit costume instead of buying the Rubies ones at JC-Costumes & Props Board, I realized that I had actually found the closest Lace I could for my Sabe-Royal Decoy Gown. It's the spiderweb lace I had spotted a few months ago and considering to use for my Gothic Lolita Headdress (err, when am I gonna continue making more of it >__< ). And since Spotlight Orchard Point is closing down and giving 15% off on all fabrics, I rush down to the place to get the lace before it runs out. Initially the bolt wasn't at its usual place but on further searching I found it on the next desk with 1 25m bolt and another that could be around 10m. Gotten 5m at SGD46.55.

Well, the lace isn't perfect as it got netting (but is pretty soft and elastic) but it'll save me the long hours I must spend to iron on all those crystals (Plan No. 2-If I got the SGD45 for 1,000 crystals to spare) or sew all those "knitted strings" (Plan No. 2-If I don't have the money to spare!). Will have to cut out some of the netting (mostly on the chest and hand parts) to allow the Antique Gold Color of the Silky Satin to be seen easily, and think will do it after it had been sew into a gown. Anyhow, although I have NO reason now NOT to do this Gown, I'm pushing it to next year as this year too occupied by my LOTR Costumes Projects. I got the lace, the cardboard "Egg" for the ear piece, the forehead jewel and lots of Black Feathers. Just need the money to buy the Satin (probably just SGD17.50 as Silky Satin), the Velvets (will use a cheap one for the base of the coat, more furry ones for the panels on the coat and Panne Velvet for the Headdress), Gold Paint or Gold Leafs and a few other stuffs. Tailoring cost for the Inner Dress and Base Coat, hopefully not, as by next year, I should have experiences making gowns. -__^

While at Spotlight, I also gotten Simplicity 7274 as all patterns are at 1/2 price+10% off. Didn't intended to get it but the Butterick Patterns I want are all gone so it's my next best choice. Anyhow, I'll need it if I'm making any Imperial Officer Uniform (which is unlikely but could be after this year). Wait, I do need one cause Darth Prion did get send off to the Unknown Regions a year before ESB. Well, once you got the skills, anything can comes true! ^__^

Also gotten 5 buttons for my Neo's Coat (will use 2-3) and Dylon Multi-Purpose Dye-Elephant Grey to dye the fabric meant for Padme Tatooine Vest cause I doubt the Dylon Cold Dye can make the cloth more grey (no idea what the White threads are made from; Cotton or Wool).

While on The Matrix Reloaded, I need to hunt down 1-2 more copies of FIRST Magazine May Issue. Only gotten 1 issue so I need to get another to keep as spare and maybe another to sell this Nov? Will see how the next few days before the June issue is released (no way I'm gonna pay SGD8 each as back issue!)

Okay, got a few more LOTR Cosplay and Harry Potter Cosplay photos to check out and save

I'm off! ^__^

I'm Melting From LOTR Icons/Adopts Cutiness . . . ^__^
Am going through the pages from Japan of LOTR Cosplayers when I came across 3 LOTR Adopts Site:
Hazel Forest
Tabino-Yadoya
a.ga-na

The Tabino-Yadoya is sooooo cute cause it got the SD Characters & Icons. The person also got a set of SD for Sayuki. And don't forget Harry Potter ones too! ^__^ Anyhow, I had discovered the origin of one of the icons I kidnapped from somewhere.

As for Hazel Forest, they are equally cute. ^__^ There are 2 sets: Set 1 and Set 2. And there is what I think is Haldir from the 2nd Set! *Drool, Drool*

For a.ga-na, they are mostly very SD but anyhow cute.

Yub, yub! I'm saving all the icons (including others I haven't mentioned here) and will adopt some of them as soon as I settle my Blog Layout and my LOTR Team Website. Oh yes, I've decide to allocate a few pages in my LOTR Team Website to listing out websites that contain photos of LOTR Cosplays from Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Philippines & Thailand cause these websites are the hardest to find. -__^ Will probably just list out those that have more than 4 photos on a single page and to the starting page of the LOTR Cosplay Section, instead of to the actual pages containing the photos.

Anyhow, looking at those Icons/Adopts and many Japanese & Taiwan LOTR Cosplayers, I noticed that the Arch Dress is choosen for Arwen Icons and Cosplay. I wonder why, especially that the color scheme used is Lilac.

On another note that I forget to mentioned, I realized that technically I can use my Neo Reloaded Coat to cosplay as Zaphkiel from Angel Sanctuary. Just need the White Collar Insert, the hair and carry a fan. ^__^ Sorry no Crucifix Earring or Bible cause I'm not a Christian (or Catholic or Free Thinker) so those stuffs are a big NO-NO cause some people will interpret it the wrong way. @__@ Heck, I still having trouble location a Pendent or Earring of an Inverted Crow or Dagger (the nearest design to a Cross) locally for my Adam Kadmon Earring. >__<

Hmm, I can also do Snape. ^__^ Just need the White Collar Insert (this time the top sticking out above the collar) plus White Shirt and borrow Hassan's Robe (or make it or use one of the inner robe of my Ringwraith). Costuming Cheapskate Thinking at work again! -__^

Okay, got to continue saving those LOTR Cosplay Photos.

Finished Sewing The Piping
Started doing last nite before I go to sleep and finish the rest this evening (more like yesterday evening cause it's Wednesday now). Strangely, the piping it too short so I had to make the knits on the collar more close up, and ending me with a very smaller collar (just nice to put my head through with some gentle tugging). Now I really wish I can afford one that is of the correct color, correct knit and got the correct collar color knits/pipings. @__@ But unfortunately, I'll run the risk of being not accurate cause in her ghost form, Myrtle doesn't seems to wear the same vest as Tom Riddle. Wish they had made her unbuttoned her robe to show her vest when she was sitting on the window ledge crying. Okay, okay, this is a One-Shot HP costume but as usual, the Costumer Side of me said "NOT!".

In other news, a little surfing online gotten me more links to LOTR Cosplayers from Japan, and additional shots I had missed from Taiwan. Some are nice, a very few make me shugged in pain (A Rocker Aragorn? @__@ Yousa crazy?). Frankly I don't mind the occasional very inaccuracy (like that cute Pippin that got this Golden Bob hair) but sometimes, boundary must be put to differ those who did it for the sake of cosplaying and those who really pay attention to as much details as possibles as much as they could. Yes, that is just my usual standards which is killing me as usual . . .

Anyhow, this nite and other nites, I gonna suffer the endless hours having to save every single pictures and pages (if it's nice or the pictures don't come in bigger size). And I still haven't finished doing the LOTR Team's website, plus my Cosplay, SW (this gonna kill me cause it's gonna be 50+++++MB of stuffs to put into new pages, layouts etc as I'm redoing the whole website. Make as well cause I had lost the webpages files so must redo everything! >__< ), Royal Guard (must take down those fan photos cause 1/3 of them was without permission and nowaday, IRG are easily seen unlike when I did the website. Oh don't forget that I got my own photos now.) and Personal Website (haven't even start on it yet). For the SW, I have little idea how to sub-divide the sections into managable sizes as Tripod is limiting to 20MB per account. Only thot of 1 for my Costuming & SW Events Photos and 1 for the Main Page, Profile, Choice, Links and Not Ready. How to divide the rest into another 1-2 folders & accounts, no idea yet.

Okay, must do some LOTR Cosplay photos saving now.

Ps: I'll send my Neo Coat back to the seamstress to shorten, add pockets, linings and raise the slit after July. Or I'll risk it and do it myself. -__^ And must get more accurate Neo Reloaded Shades.
Pss: No, I haven't gotten the fabrics for Galadriel; still calculating how much I can spare.
Psss: Spotlight Orchard Point is closing down this May 31st. Now I got to go all the way to Spotlight Tampinese. >__< Must dropped by to see what I can afford to get as most items are on sale to reduce the amount of stuffs they got to transport to Tampinese. Oh, the shutting down is expected cause many shops below and above it had shut down cause from what I was told by the sales girls at Magic Wand (they're packing up now), OG want to take over the whole place. Well, OG Orchard was under extensive renovation the last time I was in Orchard so maybe they're moving to Orchard Point instead.
Pssss: Someone said this shop at Bedok North Ave 4 is selling cloth for SGD1. Must go. Don't care design as I most likely get them to use for my Mock-Ups. SGD0.50 saving per metre is something I mustn't missed!
Psssss: MUST send Celebro for repairs. But I fear how much it'll cost as I'm on a very tight budget rite now. >__<

Bathan Pooodooo!
Started sewing on the prepared Piping and Bias tapes on my Myrtle's Vest when half-way through, I discovered that it's too long on one side! >__< (I started from the back, what). Have to take out the stitches (luckily I used "long" basting stiches). Will resew it tomolo and this time, I'm starting from the front! Wish I can buy the Vest instead cause the lines on the V-Collar are knitted/painted onto the fabric instead of pipings like the current Hogwarts Student's Vest. But as usual, I got no money to spare (the vest should cost USD50 min!) and Myrtle's Vest is still questionable (I'm basing mine on Tom's instead). This costume may be one shot costume BUT as usual, I bet I gonna upgrade it to be more accurate as I'm doing it from a Costumer's Point of view. >__<

Anyhow, I found the form Kak Intan asked me to find. The file was in Ayah's room as usual. Will wait the reply from her, especially that I'll need her IC to get Mak's Green Card renewed as she's the sponsor.

On my Arwen Rose Dress, the Inner Dress feels very loose on the shoulder. Think it should be solve if I make my hip smaller so I really need to starve myself. >__< Hai, if only I can release the money than I can try to go on that Cambridge Diet or something. Food at home is getting very unhealthy these days. @__@ MUST loose 5-10kg very soon or I'm be dead. Anyhow, for my Mourning Gown, must remember to tell the seamstress to raise the collar a bit and make the collar opening less wide. Won't want it to slip off my shoulder or show too much this Dec don't we? -__^

Okay, off to answer/read some mails and join Clefairy in Snoring Game.

Now where did Mini Maul hide my coin bank again?

Allow Me To Cry Some More . . . .
Cause Nobel Collection had released more LOTR Jewelleries!!! >__<

Here's the latest item to catch my heart:

"This exquisite headdress of Elrond™ is recreated in solid sterling silver, includes a display pillow and a certificate of authenticity. The pillow measures 7 x 7 inches. NN0522 $195.00, Ships on 06/30/2003. Available in 5 payments of $39.00."

I want this one too!!!!! >__<

Wonder if Galadriel's Crown will be next. @__@ Anyhow, I wonder how different will the United Cutlery version be like and how much it'll cost. Well, if it is indeed cheaper, then I'm willing to wait. -__^

Okay, on to my little report about last Friday The Matrix Reloaded Screening. 9 people attended: Me, Jeanette, Clare & 2 friends, Xeno & his dad, Asra & Faiz. Jeanette came as generic Ship Captain/Crew, Xeno as Neo from The Matrix, Faiz as Generic Ship Captain/Crew and me as Neo from The Matrix Reloaded. We did some posing at L1 of Plaza Singapura where there is this Big Poster of The Matrix Reloaded and upstairs at GV Plaza Lobby where there are lots of posters & standees. Before the show, some of us bought Popcorns as there is an offer for 1 Large Popcorns, 2 Drink and get 2 special postcards free. I buy with Jeanette and we managed to get 2 sets of postcards for ourselves (must be partially due to me being in costume again). Then the movie. It really kick ass IMHO; I truly enjoyed it although I haven't watch The Matrix before (will get the VCD or DVD soon).

Now after seeing Neo's costume in action, I really, really want to upgrade it. The important part is to get the pockets added in and the coat shorten by a fold or 2. I may want to get the back or front panels widen but I can live without it by having the slit at the back raise to be just below my waist line. Also must add another 2-3 buttons to the front and a big maybe add lining. Must also get the correct pants & shoes, and a better shirt (I thot I spy a Lycra-like Mock Turtleneck under the collar, which a sleeveless one will be good). Of course, the most important thing is to get a wig for the hair. Well, I got till Nov (since Neo is wearing the same coat in Revolution) so will let fate decide. I am also very tempted to get a more accurate Neo Reloaded Sunglasses. ^__^

On another news, Asra and Faiz had split. Sad cause I thot they seems soo much like meant for each other. But it's life so I'll let it be. Like I told Asra, if they are meant for each other, they'll be together eventually. Anyhow, Faiz is still young and like Asra said, may still be not ready to show her how much he love and care for her no matter what.

Err, did I ever mentioned that I gotten my Arwen Rose Dress back? It's okay, not 100% as what I had expected but I can live with it cause hopefully, one day I can make one for myself using more accurate materials and design (that is if I DO loose a LOT of weight that the current one will just slip off my shoulder!). Now I must get a Strapless Bra and get that thinging that said to cure scar so I need not be worry about what others can see on my chest. -__^ Now I only need the ears, the hairdo and do the makeup and I'm ready. ^__^

Next target is to send in my Galadriel Gown (will get the fabric soon) and make my Myrtle's Robe. Also must set aside SGD39 for Galadriel's Wig.

Okay, off to lunch, the settle those clothings on my window so there will be hanging there. Also I must start doing my Myrtle Vest.

Forget to add, the G key on Celebro came off so off to Kallang Way he must go. Hope the repair for both his problems will not exceed SGD100 or I'll be Bathan Poodoo! @__@

Some People Are Too Greedy
Surfing through eBay and I found this:
PEPSI-Cola Can STAR WARS Limited Edition RARE
Price: US $14.97 @__@

I got a few of the cans understorage, including 7-Up one and 1.25L Bottle Labels; all unfortunately open on the top. But no way will I sell it for such a stupid price. @__@

Here's another:
MATRIX RELOADED ~ MORPHEUS/ THE TWINS Poster
For Heaven's sake, it came FREE with First Magazine. And the fact that it got the flowline, it's value is highly reduced.

Some items on the other hand are plain silly. Like "COTTON MEN UNDERWEAR Frodo Lord Of The Ring". Pillow Cases is one thing, underwear for Men? @__@ Well, from the TPM Underwear my sis bought for my bro (and which he refuses to give or sell to me for the Maul ones), the picture is suppose to be small and it DOESN'T comes in Adult size (the most is for Age 12 like my bro's).

Hai . . .some people . . .
The Article About Cosplay In Malaysia Is Out:
Cosplay to hit town in a big way
I have someone get me the newspaper and will get it from her this June during CosMas.

Hmm, the first Cosplay is in 1983. How far back did SW Costuming went? 1977? @__@ Well, that is what Pamela/JDM keep telling us. But as we all know, back then it was a minority; only after TPM came out in 1999 did SW Costuming pick up in much larger amount (also the time I started going into this hobby). Same goes with LOTR; before 2000, there are people doing it but only after 2001 did it became the interest of a lot more people. -__^

And another thing about Neo's Coat, I must read through this thread on a larger screen:
The OFFICIAL Neo Reloaded coat thread

I had also the teaser trailer that suppose to be seen at the end of The Matrix Reloaded. Something I noticed, I can reuse my Neo's costume this Nov for The Matrix Revolution since Neo seems to be wearing the same thing. Unless I sew Trinity's coat myself! (No more funds to spare for costumes making at my seamstress; now only got for Galadriel, Mourning Gown and a BIG maybe Myrtle Skirt & Shirt, D's Skirt & Blouse & Reiko's Shirt)

Must remind self and everyone to stay till the end of the credits this Friday, like with Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets.

Start Talking I Must . . .
Gotten the cash but I can't really do anything with the extra till I had done the marketing for the month. The good news is, the freezer is full; the bad news is, that means I can't buy this month's beef supply till the freezer is half full. So guess the beef buying have to be shifted to somewhere near the end of the month and I must set aside SGD100 at least for it. Tomolo, I'll do the marketing for the veges and probably a bit of seafood (especially fish; sick of eating beef and crabs and prawns this month).

Tomolo will also be the day I had been waiting for; getting my Arwen Rose Dress & Neo The Matrix Reloaded Coat from my seamstress. Need to pay her another SGD150 and both costumes will be mine permanently. ^__^ Well, for the Neo Coat, I kinda regret that I didn't do sufficient research before I get it done; the bottom half of the coat is suppose to be cut in a slight triagular shape (like a school skirt) and is one piece. Mine so far has a slit at the back. Anyhow, the good thing is, I had gotten 6.5+m of the cloth for my Myrtle Robe so should I really find a need, I can change that part only (and even add a lining?). Hmm, there is still this Nov's The Matrix Revolution to attend with the FanForce and I shouldn't be doing anymore The Matrix costumes after this one. -__^

Tomolo I must also hunt for the Neo-like Shades at . Also must drop by No. 1 CostumeCostume to check wherther they got any short male hair to rent out. And get a toy revolver since I can't bring Sai (too expansive and no use after this) and black pole (too long). Anyhow, the good thing is, I found one near my house, and it only cost SGD2.50; a little black spray paint will give it a more realistic look. -__^

And now on the my trip to Arab Street with Aisyah. -__^ I showed her around and she gotten some fabrics for her Uruk-Khai and her friend's Ringwraith. The good thing is, we found this thick vinyl (light brown color) and it only cost SGD4/m. Bloody cheap man! Aisyah gotten a metre while I gotten 2 for my Ringwraith Boots cover (and maybe Khelder's Vambrace, my Vambrace, Faiz's Body Armor, and my pouch?). Other than that, I gotten what left of that black satin-like fabric for my Myrtle's Robe.

And then yesterday, I finally withdraw all my Singapore Shares. Got 425 inside, a rise of 21 shares since last year. Well, I need the money and technically if I do keep it to 2007, I probably got 500-600 shares the most in total. I can earn that in a month when I work. Will use SGD200 to go to CosMas this June (hope those fellows keep the price low as we're sharing rooms). Then again, I should ask Masako if there are others who're willing to share rooms with me as I'm very uncomfortable sharing rooms with guys, even if there are lots of us (hey! there're are things we girls like to do that guys shouldn't see!). Will see what the rest say about getting our bus and hotel rooms.

Oh, since I'll clear my 2 costumes tomolo, I can afford to get the fabric for my Galadriel Dress and send it to my seamstress. The cost of the fabric (7m of Satin Back Crepe) I will get from this month's money (Meaning: Budget is SGD50-) while the tailoring cost from the money I'll be getting in 2 weeks' time. The wig cost (SGD29) also from that money.

Hmm, mustn't forget that I'll be getting the sword this July. Plus afford my Mourning Gown (my last Arwen Dress for the time being). Hai . . . I MUST release those money! >__<

Okay, for a little something funny. I found this Caption Photo at SW Official Site:

This caption is my favorite: "...three armored Vaders, two hooded Emperors, and a Dooku in a Sith tree! (DarthDithrich)"

Now that reminded me that I want to do the LOTR version of that Christmas song. -__^ But having trouble thinking what to say for Day 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11 & 12.

My Nose Is Running Away . . .
Started in the afternoon; thot due to lack of sleep but then again maybe I am allegic to NTUC Orange Juice (but it's my breakfast!). Hmm, I thot lots of Orange Juice good for one?

Anyhow, called up my seamstress and she said she'll adjust it accordingly. She forget to put the slit at the back anyway. @__@ NowI I need to get the shades and the wig. And learn how to do binding with Sara Wrap.

Anyhow, I got this weird idea of wearing my Myrtle Costume when I go to Malaysia for CosMas this June. Make me look like some student. ^__^ And the Sweater plus robe will offer some warmness in the bus. -__^ Wish I can go there by train but so far no one want to accompany me as I want to do some photoshoot too. Maybe in Dec when I go for CosFiesta as that one I most likely wearing my Mourning Gown.

Off to bed now.

Darn! I Made An Error About Neo's Coat
- There are at least 25 button on it. Saw a full body picture yesterday while surfing for Neo's profile.
- There is NO split on the sides. Saw the picture on Clare's Blog when Neo was spinning and realized it's a full 2 pieces only instead of 4 if there is a split at the side.

Will have to call up my seamstress later today to ask if she had cut it and if not, to include the new ammenments. The accuracy bug is bitting me real bad, even for a one-shot costume. @__@

Oh! And I can't sleep although it's 3.44am in the morning. >__<

Will talk about my trip to Arab Street with Aisyah on Sat later today.

Had Settle Some Stuffs Yesterday/Today:
1. Send E-Mail to Kak Intan
2. Reply Danny's E-Mail
3. E-Mail the seller in Germany about the cost of those ears to Singapore
4. Get 20 Buttons For Neo's Coat
5. Send Neo's Costume

Yub, I am almost confirmed to do Neo this Friday at the SW FanForce Movie Outing. ^__^ The tailoring cost SGD70 cause it was a "rush" work and my seamstress promised that I'll get it this Thursday together with my Arwen Dress. She had cleared the Mak Andam's order so it'll be easier. Gave her a deposit of SGD50 so now I need to pay another SGD150 for both costumes. Hai . . . luckily this costume I can reuse as one of Darth Prion's costumes (she's one fashionable Sith Lord! -__^ ) or other times cause it's quite "normal" looking. If not, no way I'm willing to pay so much for the tailoring. Anyhow, buying a Jubah from Hejab Iran will cost a lot more (my Neo costume cost SGD101.20), the last time I checked, the cheapest was SGD120! @__@

She also told me to get 7m of Satin for Galadriel's Costume. For the skirt trimming (the 1- 1.5" Gold Ribbon), she advice me to get it after she had cut the fabric. Cost of tailoring, I'm assuming to be SGD100 the max cause it's only 1 layer, minus the sleeves and design straight forwards. Now I really must make sure that my Mourning Gown will be the last expansive gown I'll send to her. The skirts (D/Reiko & Myrtle) and maybe blouse, I'll send much later when I'm very sure I can afford it (I need to finalize Myrtle Skirt anyway; the no. of pleats).

Oh gosh! Now that Costumer's Ideology of "Your Costume Will Never Be Finished" is really eating into my head; I sense I'll keep upgrading my Myrtle Costume till it's 100% screen accurate! >__<

While on my seamstress, now it seems she's doing some shirts/costumes for TCS 8. Wooh! Is she becoming one of Mediacorp's regular costumes maker?

At Joo Chiat Complex, I also tried to find the fabric for Kheldar's Boromir Costume. Found the design (as I mentioned before here) but there is NO Red, only fushia, brown, blue etc etc. >__< Darn! Did I really see it in red that day? Now I got to look somewhere else for it and probably get just enough to make the sleeves (1 metre).

So what stuffs I got to settle later today or next week should I be in their vicinity (other than settling what I had previously listed out)?
- 5m minimal of that cloth for Myrtle's Robe (pattern asked for 6 yards)
- Check if No. 1 CostumeCostume got the Neo-like wig
- Borrow/Kidnapped/Buy (if it's bloody cheap!) the Shades like Neo wears in The Matrix Reloaded.
- Calculate what I can afford and what I can't till June 13th.

Okay, off to bed now for me. -__^

Thursday, May 08, 2003

Things I Need To Settle:
1. Send E-Mail to Kak Intan
2. Reply Danny's E-Mail
3. E-Mail the seller in Germany about the cost of those ears to Singapore
4. Get 20 Buttons For Neo's Coat
5. Get 1" Golden Ribbons for my Galadriel Gown
6. Get that Chongsam Button for my Myrtle's Robe
7. Finish Myrtle's Vest
8. Find Peter-Pan/Round Collar Shirt, best long sleeves (or get it tailor made)
9. Get the fabric for Myrtle Skirt's skirt and get it done (or use my YJC Skirt)
10. Finish my wands (darn! I need an oven to heat up the scupley)
11. Finish the LOTR Team Website
12. Finish my Cosplay Website
13. Finish the first stage of my SW Website. Donno what color to use for the background; sick of the space look. @__@
14. Make costumes for Padme & Maul from those left over cloths. Padme asked for Frodo or Arwen while she insisted that Maul be Ringwraith or Aragorn. @__@
15. Reschedule my sleeping patterns.
16. Send Celebro for repairs.

Going to sleep now; will talk cock more later today when I wakes up.
Heheheheheee, I Had Gotten. . .
One of those comments thinging. It's below my entry so all those reading my blog can directly comment on my post.

Preview Of ROTK Costumes Through The Action Figures! @__@
ROTK Action Figures!

Guess Faiz will get the "ultimate" guide to how King Elesser Armor looks like after all. Now I wonder wherther they will be release months before Dec so the armor/costume can be done in time for ROTK Premiere. -__^

Eomer's Costume looks very grand like he's already the King of Rohan. And Eowyn's Helmet kinda explain how she managed to hide herself among the Rohan Riders.

Now I got to get them all except Gollum & Gandalf. -__^ Wonder if I can reserve them somewhere way before they comes out. ^__^
OMG! Nanya IS Out

"The ring of Gandalf™ is crafted in solid 10 karat gold and set with a faceted crystal. Comes complete with a rich wooden collector's box and a certificate of authenticity. Size 6-14 (full sizes only). NN9512 $295.00"

But it's so bloody expansive! >__< I want Nanya over all other jewelleries from LOTR cause not only is it beautiful but also have a significant symbolizm to it: Fire of Courage. And is it just me or the ring shape is a bit odd? Hai . . . unless I win lottery or some windfall, I don't see getting this ring till next year. >__<

Anyhow, a few other interested stuffs are being sold by The Nobel Collection:

Gandalf the Grey Staff

Arwen Rivendell Fellowship Farewell Circlet

Wish I got all the money in the world to afford them. >__<

Anyhow, I got a reply from Danny. Seems like he gotten more weapons and inviting us to see them when he's next free (currently he's busy working). He also said he got Narsil available to lent to the one dressed up a King Elesser this Dec. Will pass it to Faiz who will be King Elesser. -__^ Can't wait to see his latest stuffs soon! (Ps: Err, with all the weapons he's buying, he's not saving a little for marriage meh? Is it because currently he has no girlfriend so the question is out of his mind for now?)
Yes, I Have Done It . . .
I gotten the cloth for Neo's The Matrix Reloaded Coat. ^__^ It's some kind of Matte Satin (yes, totally matte) fabric that probably have a small amount of spandex in it too. It could had also been some kind of suiting cloth meant for pants.

Anyhow, the good thing is, it cost SGD5/m so I gotten 5 metres (more than enough for the suit!). Well, if I got a choice and the money, I'll go for Wool-like fabric but the ones at the shop are either of the wrong color or thickness (I don't want to use lining cause want to lower cost). One of the sellers did said that Textile Centre could have the Wool fabric I want but
1) It's a long walk to there from Arab Street
2) It's was already 4.30pm and I bet most of the shops there had already closed.
I always get confused when I got to the shops there anyway cause most of them are merely the "store shop" for the shops at other places, including Arab Street.
Ya, ya I can try Chinatown but time is running out for me to hop between Chinatown (if it's not there) and Arab Street. This Costume must go out by this Sat and back by this Thursday cause the FanForce Outing is on next Friday.

The bad news is, I can't speak or meet with my seamstress till this Friday. Another bad news is, I haven't gotten the 18-20 Black Matte/Cloth-Like rounnd buttons of about 1" diametre for it but I can settle it tomolo at AMK Central or if that fails, at Orchard Spotlight. I was going to get the button at Spotlight Tampinese but they only got 15 left (8 on 1 card, 7 on another). And they can't give discount price for that card that got 1 button missing so I forgo it.

And for some good news in case this Neo Costume fails to become a reality, I got the fabric for my Myrtle's 1942 Robe. ^__^ Even if the Neo costume becomes a reality, I'm gonna get the same fabric for Myrtle cause it's cheap (onli SGD5/m okay, compared to SGD6-8 for the other possible cloths), thick enough as not to need lining (I still flunk at adding linings >__< ) and heavy enough with the correct drape. Anyhow, since my Arwen Costume hasn't even been cut yet (or sew), I could request that that costume be put off after they are done with the Mak Andam order and instead rush this coat asap and use the money for the Arwen Gown to pay for this costume. Hopefully, it'll not exceed SGD80 (baju kurung cost SGD40) cause it's design is very simple; just like a Lab Coat or Front Opening Jubah minus all the trimmings and pockets. Anyhow, since this coat the earliest can be ready by next Thursday, I may not need to do so as 12th May is next Monday. Ya, ya, I know from Monday or Tuesday onwards, I got to buy lots of beef and fish and other stuffs but at the end of it all, I'm sure I got at least SGD150 left (usually I got SGD300 left for both my needs and vegetable marketing for the rest of the month).

A little report from Costumes & Mascots, Joy said she has the following LOTR Costumes Available:
-Arwen (Angel Dress I think!)
-Gandalf the Grey
-Legolas
-Frodo (and Merry?)

Cost of rental is SGD50 + SGD50 Returnable Deposit. Didn't get to see the costumes personally cause Joy was busy at that time so maybe if someone ask me along to the shop one of these days, I could drop by and see the costumes personally. Hai . . . personally I always prefer No. 1 CostumeCostumes cause their catalog show the actual costumes they got and they are willing to show me the actual costumes if it's within their reach. Okay, okay, they also got more workers there, plus the 2 Indonesian Maid. -__^

Going downstairs now to grab some bite, then to surf net for some pictures of Vader and AOTC Boba Fett I can use for my Icons.

Ju Hasn't Sent Me Those Scans
It's that of the LOTR Costumes available at No. 1 CostumeCostume. Want to show my friends at Haldir's Elven Archers how the vinyl cloth version of the 2nd Age Armor looks like. Will wait a few more days before SMS her about it.

While on Haldir's Armor, visiting the forum and Julia's Elven Archer Tutorial any other day (or daily) really want to make me drop everything and do that armor. Well, I'm not that interested in the body armor cause compared to the 2nd Age one, if offers little protection (Haldir was back stabbed! >__< ) but I love the helmet. ^__^ And Julia does have the tutorial for the helmet done, together with the shoulder bells. Okay, okay, I must be patient. Settle my current LOTR costumes first, then I can do the Elven Archer Armor. Frankly, if I do the Elven Archer, I must also do the Easterlings Armor. -__^ Technically for me, they comes as a pair!

Oh! Must remember to save the webpage and thread Julia put up concerning how she did her husband's Boromir Costume. Wait, I did that already rite? @__@ Hehehehee, one thing I love about Julia is that we shared a little common love for doing great items using the cheapest things. -__^

One of these days when I do get to attend DragonCon or other Cons in USA, I gonna make sure I meet her and family and take lots of photos together. It'll be great to put a face to a name, even more greater to meet the person in person! -__^

Okay, gonna get ready to go out now or I'll never go out.
Did A Good Amount Of Icons Today
Mostly for my Costuming/Cosplay Website. Did the icons for Padme Tatooine, ROTK Aragorn, Padme White Battlesuit, Neo etc etc. Now technically I'm done with the icons for "My Costumes" & "Friends' Costumes" Pages. Still need to do an icon for AOTC Boba Fett (will have to look for a good picture of him later).

Also did the icons for some of the pages of my SW Website with whatever SW Pictures I got left in Celebro. Did for Maul, IRG, Literature, Collectibles, About Me & Fans Rule! pages. One thing for sure, I can't believe that although Vader is on the top list of my favourite SW characters, I only got 1 miserable picture of him. @__@ What was I thinking? Must start collecting as much pictures of him as I can. I need to make the icon/banner for the page (although I haven't do it yet) and later for the top banner of the page itself.

I also do some icons of Captain Power; can't do much here as there is hardly any pictures of the team around.

While talking to Clefairy, I realize that somehow, the death of Gollum in the volcano of Mount Doom and the plunge Anakin took in a molten pit (probably a volcano too!) are related and have a very great meaning behind it. In both cases, it signified Death and Rebirth, just as the real volcano destroy and rebuild the surface of this Earth. For Gollum, his death together with the One Ring signified the death of the ultimate evil on Middle-Earth and the Rebirth of a new era of peace for everyone. It also freed him from the burden he had endured for 500 years, being dependant on the One-Ring and loosing his dignity. As for Anakin, his plundge into the volcano signified the Death of his "human" self and the Rebirth of Darth Vader. So in both cases, the volcano is a metaphor.

Okay, off to bed now; my eyes are starting to shut themselves.

My Arwen Gown Is Not Ready Yet >__<
Called up the shop today and she said an "urgent" order by a Mak Andam had put all other orders on hold. @__@ But I want to ask for price quote and maybe send off my Neo Costumes by 7th May so I can get it back by 15th May afternoon (other that I'm not too sure how much cloth I should get for it!). And I got to find out how much cloth I'll need for my Galadriel Costume as I don't want to run a risk of the gown not being suffiently wide enough from lack of cloth (8 1/8 - 9 1/8 yards is needed according to the pattern, so for me probably 6m?).

Anyhow, I have decide to send my Adam Kadmon & Arwen Blood Red Gown to next year. Well, it's probably because I'm still holding on to that little hope that my previous seamstress will return to me all my cloth or get it done (and I'm gonna pay only the max 50% of the original SGD300). Anyhow, for the later, I vow to do it myself and get the correct fabric for the trimings and underdress. Darn! I must make a trip to Little India on a weekday soon to find that cloth.

Hmm, so what else other than doing my websites and surfing net can I do today (no, I'm in no mood to open the sewing machine >__< ). Will see, maybe around 3pm I'll make a trip to Arab Street to get the cloth for Neo's Costume (if it's below SGD30 for 5m). Must still decide which fabric I want to use for Myrtle's Robe which I'll start doing soon.

Hai . . . 7 more days till I get some extra cash to spare. @__@

Oh no! I should be going to Bishan to withdraw my Singapore Shares too today. But my bro is not back from school yet. >__<

I Am At Celebro's Throat . . .
TWICE he shut down while I was saving some links and pictures of Lord Of The Rings Cosplay from Japan. @__@ Now I got to do it on the other computer. >__<

No, Celebro, I don't have hundreds of dollars to get you fix! Why do you need a trip to Data Dynamic at Kallang Way every year? @__@

Oh, check out this Japanese Cosplayer:
Gollum
Wish we can get such flesh color body suit in Singapore eh? -__^
X-Men 2 Was Great . . .
But I feel they are trying to fit in too many characters too fast into it. The action and fight scenes are mind blowing; I love the starting when Nightcrawler kicked lots of human butts. And Magneto, boy, is he a real villian in disguise; taking every chance to try to make his dream comes true. With Mystic in toll, it's almost became a reality if the rest of the X-Men didn't try to prevent it. -__^

But one thing I feel not rite is the way they tried to hint that Pheonix is coming, it seems too early and unless I missed what Jean said at the beginning of the movie, I have no idea how in the world it managed to enter Jean Grey. I know how in the cartoon (and probably in the comics since I used to have Dark Pheonix card) but in this movie . ..I just don't get it. Well, those who didn't have any background infos on X-Men will think that Jean Grey is dead and gone, drowned but as hinted by her "newer" power, the fire in her eyes and that Pheonix-like shadows in the lake was at the end of the movie, she'll be back.

Okay, I'll wait for X-Men 3 to comes out. Maybe by then, I know how to sew properly and ended up in Rogue's or Storm's suit. -__^ Black is after all my favorite color! ^__^

Okay, back to do some Website building now.

Saw Some Photos From The MCC Photoshoot
Here's the link: MCC Photoshoot (Miaka's)

There seems to be 2 Lord Of The Rings Cosplay and 1 Harry Potter and for something put together in a short period, I can say not bad. I actually intended to join in to add the Star Wars touch but money is bad and the timing is wrong so I forgo it. Anyhow, I'm a Singapore Cosplayer, not Malaysian. Better give it to where it belongs to.

Hai . . . my Lord of the Rings Cosplay in Singapore, wonder how well it'll turn out. I kinda suck as Eowyn at CosFesta for the obvious reason that I haven't completed the costume (and I still haven't now @__@ ) and wonder how well my Arwen will turn out. And I kinda worried about the Mourning Gown trimmings; I'm not willing to use something less accurate like some Colored Trimmings. I want it to be as close as possible!! >__< Maybe I should learn how to do embroyies work. Must remember to get the guide/how-to book on it when I'm at the library or any of the book store.

Off to bath now; will talk cock more later this evening after I come back from watching X-Men 2

You are Dom!

Black IS my favourite color
Kathay Posted The Links To Photos From CostumeCon 21
All the costumes seems great! My favourite seems to be the Sith Witch (not the Pre-Evolution of Maul one!) although it'll look even more realistic if the person is a little more ruler shape. I wonder if that is Kathay (shit! she'll kill me if she heards my comment! -__^ ) And I think the little Picnic Dress Padme is Quincy, Kathay's daughter (boy! that girl is growing fast!) since she did said she's working on the dress for Quincy.

Other favorites are:
- Quiddich (err, isn't the robe suppose 2 B longer?)
- Indiana Jones Group (the costume the guy in black looks like Neo's >__< )
- Guess Who ^__^ (now give him a lightsabre and it'll be completed! ^__^ )
- Padme Senator Dress (hmm, a change in color it seems)
- Arwen Chase Dress
- Bram Stoker's Dracula
- Quincy's American Girl Dress (I'm sure 4 this one cause she got the cubbiness & Kathay did said she's doing this dress! -__^ )
- Woooh! Very Fantasy-Like

Hai . . . wish I can go to Canada to study after 2005 and so also drop by USA for some conventions here and there (top on the list will be DragonCon & DC ComicCon). Well, got to have the money first! -__^

Okay, what have I been up to lately?

For the past few days, I had been cutting the commercial patterns. Had cut Simplicity 8944 (Robe One) Simplicity 9887 (all except the Tunic piece) & Simplicity 9162 (all). Am cutting McCall's 2940 now, all the pieces that I haven't previously cut (need to use it to make my Jedi Gi and maybe also Jedi Luke's Vest). Than, the rest of the patterns so I got them ready to use when the needs arises.

I had also gotten 4 yards of plastic cover for my gowns from my nearby Photo Develop cum Bridal wear shop. Haven't cut it to size yet since I donno how long my Arwen Gowns gonna be so I'll leaving it uncut till I got the measurements. Haven't gotten a Padded Hanger though (where to get it anyway?)

As for my The Matrix Reloaded Costume urge, it's getting kinda worse. @__@ I started counting the no. of buttons I'll need (18-20?) and thot of the pattern I can use IF I do it myself (will depend on how much the fabric and tailoring may cost). And the fact that there is a little unseen pressure for someone in our group to wear something Matrix-like. Got 12 more days to spare to the day and I still haven't gotten back my Arwen Dress so I can send in the next one. Monday, I better get my butts to Bishan CPF Centre to withdraw all of my Singapore Shares cause technically, no point in keeping it till 2007 cause I only got 400+ inside and by 2007, I'll only get 60+ extra. Now come to think of it, I really regret not putting in another SGD50 into my CPF so I can get that extra money to counter the rise in GST. I misread the letter! @__@ Must remember to do it for next year batch. >__<

Hmm, anything else? Oh, the list of LOTR costumes available at No.1 CostumeCostume & Foreigners House Of Costumes.

No. 1 CostumeCostumes
- Elrond 2nd Age Armor (made from Vinyl Cloth!)
- Galadriel (simplified) + Cloak
- Gandalf the White Robe (inside is self-provided @__@ )
- Legolas
- Gimli
- Ringwraith
- Hobbits
- "Arwen"

Foreigners House Of Costumes
- Arwen Rose Dress
- Arwen Angel Dress
- Ringwraith
- Gandalf the Grey
(COMMENT: They are probably their own and not Rubies so One thing I DON'T get it, why put the picture of the Rubies Costume in the catalog when the actual costume is made by them?)
For the Rose Dress, is it just me or the lacing on the Inner Dress is actually a curtain lace cloth? Anyhow, it's too White (the actual is pinkish, verified by that picture of it I saw on the DVD I rented the other day) and too long.

Will drop by Costumes & Mascot when I'm in the Arab Street area next week and call up Jewel's Costumes to check out too. Why am I doing this? Cause all the people Moogle persuded are not that willing to get their own costumes done; want to rent it instead. @__@ And she seems to "force" her classmates to join the group so I fear that they are saying "Yes" just to shut her mouth. @__@ And as I had forsee, 2 had pulled out (the ones doing Merry & Pippin) so now the Fellowship is broken again.

Which reminds me, must get 2 yards of that Sari-like fabric from Joo Chiat Complex for Khelder's Boromir's Costume before it runs out. It's cheap anyway. And must make the mock-ups for my Hogwarts School Robe (no news from Jo on how much the cost of shipping will be to me in Singapore; hope it's USD2 max as that's how much Mara Jade Father charged me for those Dewback Squadron Patches). And I haven't ordered my Ears; ForbiddenPlanetShop doesn't seems to have it on their website anymore too so I may have to order from the German guy instead. Not to forget that since my sis is unlikely to comes back to Singapore this June due to the SARS scare, I either get it delivered to me directly or to her and she post it to me with other stuffs she want to send back. Darn! Think I'll need more than SGD30 to pay for that! >__<

My Beauty Pledge For The Year (hope I can stick to it!)
1. Wash my face with the Facial Washer 2 times a day (at least once a day)
2. Apply the Whitening Cream after done 1

I need that clear complexion to complete my Elven look. Much fairer skin will be another incentive! -__^

Hmm, is it just me or my arms skin had gone allergic to Citra White Lotion Bengkung? Started using it after 4 years of not and my skin started itching like hell. It could had been due to Rapet Wangi Jamu I was taking at the same time too. Had stopped using both since a week ago and no itch on my arms had occurs. Will try again tomolo by trying out one of them to see which is the cause of my itch.

Okay, got to shut down Celebro for a while and return back to cuting my paper patterns. Will talk more later if I'm in the mood.
More New Items At Nobel Collection
Wish I have the money. >__<

Anyhow, The Matrix Reloaded Costuming bug has bitten me recently. @__@ Not all the costumes but 1 very special one which I know can be used as one of those special occasion clothings if I want. But Clefairies can't stop flying out of my wallet till May 12th. @__@ And I WANT to get the material as close to it as possible which will cost the cheapest at SGD6/m. Will see how much I can resist or afford.

Hmm, haven't received the phone call from my seamstress although it's already May 3rd. Will call her later today or tomolo to check out before I spend the money. @__@

Look At The Latest Items At Nobel Collection! @__@
I want Galadriel Brooch!!!! >___<

It's so beautiful and I can pin it to my future Galadriel Gown. >__< But it cost a blasting USD97.50 w/o shipping (after will probably be SGD230++) and I still want to get the other stuffs first, including the Fellowship Brooch, King of Men Ring, Elrond Ring and The Ring of Barahir. And don't forget that Nanya (movie version), whenever it comes out will take main priority. Hai . . .hope by the time I start working, the items are still being sold so I can get them.

Okay, off to bed now. Will talk what's been happening in my life and other rants later today when I wakes ups.

Mini Maul, get off my bed will ya?
