Bought 20m of this not to thin or drapy Polyester Fabric from Joo Chiat Complex after I visit my seamstress over the amount of fabrics needed for my costumes. The seller was pretty rude, trying to make a sale as usual. *roll eyes*

Maybe tomolo if I settle my stuffs fast enough, I can do a mock up of the Fellowship Cloak using the fabric (Lothlorien March Warden Cloak still need to be tween).

And in case I don't post anything later today, I'm going to Malacca this Sun for my Grandma sister's daughter wedding and *hopefully* I can get a ticket home for Sun nite too. If not, have to stay overnite in Malacca at my Grandma's sister house or hotel. -__- First choice back to Singapore; 2nd choice to Johor and last choice to stay overnite in hotel.

Oh! Must remember to get for my Grandma a EzLink card in case we got to take the bus to Johor instead of directly to Singapore.

Finished Watching TTT DVD
Saw a lots of "new" costuming infos and confirmation such as what Eowyn wore under her Green Dress and where the trimmings on the Witchking Robes are located.

But I'm still not convince that it's Gil-Galad in the Dead Marshes. For God's sake, he's the last High Elven King on Middle-Earth and suppose to die in Mordor so why in the world is his dead body doing in the Dead Marshes which is BEFORE Mordor. The dead soldier also lacks Gil-Galad's Shoulder Armor and front "tabbard" so it can't be him.

Got It!
Had bought the Code 1 LOTR: The Two Tower DVDs. Cost me SGD44.90 from the recommanded price of SGD49.90. Am watching it now so will talk more later. Mini Maul, Padme, Maul and Clefairy with her dollie Haldir seems to enjoy it. -__^

What been happening in my life since my last full entry. Beginning from yesterday (Sat):

Sat 23rd Aug
Met Kheldar at Dobby Ghaut MRT Station and went to KHH together. Also took his measurement for his Boromir Costume (he had choosen the Post-Lothlorien Version, partially thankfully) and discuss about his budget (less than SGD200 which I'm sure I can easily fulfil as long as go for looks and partial accuracy, instead of full accuracy. -__^).

Then, I went to Suntec City to check out Caeser's Gun Gallery little Road Show. That shop assistant from Far East Plaza was there too. @__@ Anyhow, I saw that they have many of the jewelleries from Nobel Collection. Here're the prices of the items I'm interested in or remembered the price:

After hanging at the place for almost an hour drooling at the Jewelries and swords and waiting for the "Ringwraith" to appear, went to Carrefour. Saw Toyogo Comic Box (22x45x14) on sale at SGD3.90 each from the original SGD9.90 so gotten 3 boxes. Also gotten 6 sushi (SGD2.50), Salmon Sashimi (SGD5.88), 200g Smoked Salmon (SGD10.80) and Apples (SGD1.75). Am veri broke rite now. -__- But I needed the boxes (may even go and get more). Rest, Salmon is for both me and bro (and it'll be on him -__^ ) and the Sashimi will make it last till Tues (I hope! o__O ).

BUT on my way to Carrefour, felt something fell off my nose and it turned out to be my glasses's Left nose clip. Can't get it from among the crowd so will need to get a new one tomolo. Think it'll cost SGD1?

After shopping at Carrefour, went back to the Roadshow and saw the Ringwraith there. Took a few photos with him (he's a student from Nanyang Polytechnic) and saw that he's wearing the rented costume and holding the Ringwraith Sword.

Anyhow while at the Roadshow, I also entered a quiz. The question was "Name any Swords that is displayed at the Caeser's Gun Gallery Roadshow." and to which I answered "Witchking Sword" and then "Lord Of The Rings United Cutlery Witchking Sword" (Full name will be United Cutlery's Lord Of The Rings: The Sword of the Witchking). Gotten a little Gold Color Samurai Keychain and SAFRA Watch cum Compass Plastic Harness Clip. Thot not bad till I got home and saw the Caeser's Gun Gallery SGD50 voucher. O__O Wonder if it's really valid. But I need to spend SGD100 to have it valid and maybe I could use it to get something from Caeser's Gun Gallery like 2 UC Swords Miniture (aka Letter opener) at SGD79 each or something slightly over SGD100. Well, will see first if I can spare the cash next month (and check if the voucher IS valid).

After the question I answered, the MC asked the public to name the Ringwraith and I helped this boy answered it (It's Ringwraith, Nazgul). Another boy before him almost gotten it by saying Dark Rider but the MC didn't know that it IS the nickname of the Ringwraiths (he said that's from Harry Potter which is NOT true as those thinging are called Dementor) so he didn't get the prize. The mother of the boy who I helped later told his son to thank me. ^__^

Later, went home by bus and yes, saw again how dark Bidadari Cemetary is at nite. O__O


Fri 22nd Aug
Gotten my United Cutlery Witchking Sword today! ^__^ Had also paid Danny the full SGD150 for it and he gave me the Strider Ranger Sword Plaque for my sword as he had screwed in the Witchking one to his wardrobe side. It's still lying on my bed, wrapped in some Satin Cloth I got currently cause I need to settle my room and the wall where I want to hang it (beside my bed) before measure properly, drill in the holes and screw in the screws. Anyhow, need to find the drill first. -__- He also told me how to get it polished every month.

On arriving home, found a letter from M.A.G.E. saying I had won a Gundam Model Set from their last draw (hehehehe, I had forgotten that I had submitted that coupon in! ^__^ ) Well, I don't need it so it'll probably go to someone else who wants it (hehehee, who will want to own-me-one so u can receive the Model Kit?). Will collect it this Mon or Tues.

New Air Con today. Mitsubishi Mr. Slim Inverter. But haven't start using it yet (and no, didn't get the location changed) cause have no need yet. Room still in a mess die to it.

Went to watch The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen with Jeanatte, Hassan, Danny, Faiz & his Girlfriend (*roll eyes* keep keep hugging *roll eyes*). It's very interesting IMHO. Hassan was a bit hyperactive cause they didn't have Sherlock Homes but overall happy with it. Anyhow, can read his review over at this Blog for those interested. -__^


Sat 16th Aug-Afternoon
Went to Spotlight Plaza Singapura to check out their new store. It was very crowded and was happy to see some familiar faces from former Orchard Point Store back there. Gotten 1.5m of the fabric I need for the Arwen Blood Red Dress which turnout out to be Rose Color so off to the dyeing pot for it. Also gotten some laces for some GL Headdress (Must start making mine!) and 20 buttons for my Neo Reloaded Coat.

Later, went to Chinatown to settle my wig, followed by a trip to No. 1 CostumeCostume which unfortunately had moved to Arab Street so had to rush there to check out their stock. Ju wasn't at the shop and I got to know that those costumes from Jewel's Costumes hasn't been unpacked yet. Left my contact no. anyway so they can contact me when they had unpacked and cataloged those costumes. Well, a plus point for No. 1 CostumeCostume to move to Arab Street cause now, I can cover 5-6 costumes shops in 1 day (No. 1 CostumeCostume, Costumes & Mascot, Stage Image, Masquerer 2000, The Costume Shop and Jewel's Costumes)! ^__^


Okay, that's all I can report about what I been doing this week. -__^ Now off to eat some sushi and start digging under my bed so I can pack some stuffs into the new boxes and put them there under the bed. -__^

Ps: I touch and hold and carried Master Replica Darth Maul Lightsabre witb my BARE HANDS today! ^__^ I was right about Danny afterall! -__^ Get it? Nah! I still prefer Kropserkel ones cause it's break-apartable and I may be able to get it customized to the color of Darth Prion's Double Lightsabre: Metallic Black! ^__^

May also get Vanilla Costume & maybe my GL Dress done by end of this month so I'm more free the next few months to pay back, other than buying and tailoring my Arwen Gown (Budget: SGD240 and less!). I really need to bargain my Ass off with my seamstress cause come to think of it, why did I pay only SGD170 for my Rose Dress (4 layers, 2 dresses), yet paid SGD140 for my Galadriel one (1 layer only?

Oh shit . . . there is still Neo Reloaded/Revolution Coat Version 2.0. @__@ Make it I need another SGD350 to finish all the tailored costumes I need this year and next year (Adam Kadmon do must do ones' self . . . .Adam Kadmon do must do ones' self . . . .). Throw in another SGD50 to buy the materials to buy the wood for the Elven Sword, a bit of Vinyl/Leather for the scabbard (self made of course!) and etc but that money I can put together from doing some "works" around the house aka "Service Charges". And yes, need to get my Bro's Ice Lemon Tea tomolo IF there is money in that bowl for me to use to buy his drink (No money, No Ice Lemon Tea!) and that means a little extra to earn (no need to buy breakfast anyway; I got a whole 2L of Apple Juice in the Fridge!)

Done Some Stuffs But Still Lots More To Do . . .

Gotten the Wool-like fabric from my usual shop. Also found out there is another 18m left (a whole bolt) if I need more. Anyhow, upon closer inspection, the color is darker than as required for the March Warden Cloak but think I may try to lighten it on a small piece first. If not, will use it as it is since I'm will be the only one particular about the inaccuracy. -__- Must remember to draw out a little design picture based on the one Julia did and e-mail her any enquires I got, especially on the shape/cutting of the top part of the cloak.

The rest of the costume? See first lah after I had completed the ones I'm suppose to do (Myrtle, Arwen, Galadriel, Vanilla, Ringwraiths & Boromir). The March Warden Costume is just a sidetrack project which I may or may not complete though better for me to since I will have the Lothlorien Bow, Quiver and Sword for my Elven Archer Armor.

At Chinatown, had selected new colors for my Galadriel Wig too and send it to the Wig Shop. Also included Haldir's Hair do if the Galadriel one still not possible, plus Vanilla's Wig (with the SGD10 Deposit). BUT I still need to go down to the shop later today to explain to the aunty what I had wrote. Anyhow, I kinda feel like telling her that I'm placing order for 3 wigs instead of 2 with the other as in-case-can't-do-the-first. I will need the Haldir Wig for my Elven Archer Armor.

After that, it was already 7.30pm so I went home instead of going to Orchard Road as planned. Upon reaching AMK, went to NTUC Fairprice Supermarket to do some shopping for the kitchen. Spend SGD28.45 due to the Squids and I hope what I had bought so far will last till Sept 14th. Maybe will get 2-3 days supply of fish too (Ikan Parang maybe?) when I next go to the market or Shop & Safe or NTUC Fairprice.

Progress Report On The Ringwraith Armor Gauntlets . . .
The Gloves are too "unfitting" for my hands, especially around the tip of the fingers! @__@ I started sewing the Little Finger and Ring Finger pieces to it and the aluminium sheets kinda didn't fully hide the blue glove underneath it.

Verdict: Make the pieces wider or get a better glove that will fit my hands better (Can only think of Satin Opera Gloves -__- ).

The position of the plates also doesn't seems fully rite; doesn't articulate well IMHO. But I think I can solve it by having 2 holes per side of the plates as this way, the aluminium sheet will stay better on the glove.

1 3/4 finger done, 8 1/4 more to go. This glove will probably go to Anas or someone else who have fingers thinner than me (yes, mine own and Hassan has to be the best; mine cause it's for me and Hassan cause he'll later need to wear it plainly without the cover of his Robe for his Sauron Armor).

Will make new templates and continue later today when I come back from Arab Street-Chinatown-No. 1 Costume Costume-Orchard Road. Must also finish making the pieces using the Hard Plastics and paint them silver cause Sun, I got to show to Clive and hence continue making the Knuckles onwards (frankly, I'm suppose to finish all the templated before this Sun).

Oh! Sat will drop by Spotlight Plaza Singapura to grab the fabric for Arwen's Blood Red Dress Sleeves & Triming before it runs out again. It's opening this Sat onwards so must by there by 9.30am to be the early birds and get my fabrics (can't spend more than SGD20 there anyway cause I need the money to pay for my sword).

What Costuming & Prop Making Work Am I Doing Now?

1. Ringwraith Armor Gauntlets
-Using both Aluminium Sheets & Thick Plastics (for the later I keep loosing the pieces! >__< Will have to paint it silver with finisher first before sewing onto the base gloves)

2. Lothlorien March Warden Cloak
-Will start as soon as I gotten the cloth from my usual Chinese shop. Tomolo if I can make a run to Chinatown, I might look for more. Then again, maybe on Thur but need to confirm with the Aunty at the Wig shop that her supplier is really coming this Thur evening or on Fri or I'll be Bantha Poodo. >__< Must remember to print out the picture of Haldir and new pictures of Galadriel.

3. Myrtle Robe
-Must start on the mock-up for this baby!!!!! @__@ And I may ended up going to Joo Chiat Complex to get some SGD1 cloth to use as mock-ups and also to speak with my seamstress about how much cloth I need for my future costumes, namely Arwen Mourning, Vanilla, Gothic Lolita and Myrtle's Pinafold. Mak also been asking me to get more of that Minyak Gosok Haji Karim from Geylang (the only place I know where I can get it -__- )

Other than that, nothing much urgently needed to be complete. -__-

Hmm, Clefairy been hugging her Haldir Doll all over the place as usual. @__@ And Mini Maul is sulking on the wardrobe again cause I gotten a Plo Koon Pepsi Bottle Cap yesterday instead of the new Darth Maul Action Figure (But Maully! That action figure cost SGD17.90 while the bottle cap only SGD2.90! I got only SGD15 in my wallet at that time okay? -__- )

Jewel's Costumes Stop Renting Out Costumes. @__@
And had sold their stock to No. 1 Costume Costume I think but will check it out later today or tomolo when I go to Chinatown to give the Aunty Pictures of my wig.

Anyhow, I was naughty while at Arab Street cause
1) Ask my usual Chinese Cloth Shop to reserve for me the rest of this Wool Fabric. At SGD8/m and I only need to pay SGD16 for 2.4m, who can resist it? -__^ Think will use it to make the Haldir March Warden Cloak (see a March Warden Costume coming up, since my backup wig in case I can't get the Galadriel one is Haldir style Wig).
2) Ate at Raffles Hospital Cafe. Fish Ball Noodles Soup with Wanton Mee again. ^__^

Later, drop by TRU Orchard Forum SM and they had NO new LOTR Stuffs. Still TTT Box Sauron, Gandalf the White, Gollum, Treebeard, Frodo & Sam in Mordor and some random FOTR & TTT weapons. Moreover, I was told by the person working there that the last batch of LOTR stuffs they gotten was the TTT and no sight of them getting the ROTK wave unless their stock of TTT stuffs is greatly reduced. Must get my butt to SpawnAsia and Clark Quay soon.

Okay, off to cut more Ringwraith Gauntlets Finger Pieces and then bed till almost noon. -__^

Hasn't gone to Jewel's Costumes or do much of my Ringwraith Gauntlets (other than finishing all the templates in 4 different sizes). Hai . . . maybe I'll try tomolo since I do need to look around for the prices of other stuffs anyway.

Anyhow, I can't send in my patch for the Fabric of the Nation after all cause they push forward the deadline to tomolo! Well, I could rush it tonite and submit to one of the Community Club but . . .well, will see. -__-

Technically Had Done It . . .
The templates for the finger plates of my Ringwraith Gautlets. Did 3 different sizes of 3 types (Pointed Finger Tip, Rounded Tip and the the middle pieces). Why 3 different sizes? Cause One is scaled down to go over the little finger, one normal size over the other 3 fingers and 1 scaled up for the thumb. Haven't cut them up tho' so I not entirely sure how it will be over all the fingers. But a test piece of the normal finger pointed tip (which was drawn and measured on the aluminium sheet itself) seems promising and fit. If they all works, then I gonna scan those templates and post them online on the page explaining how I did my Ringwraith Costume. The finger plates done; now got to figure out the rest of the plates from the knuckle up. -__- Will take and post progress pictures later.

On a bad news, I can't get my Galadriel Wig after all. The maker had failed to curl it up without melting it so I either give up or select another color from the higher quality hair type (like the Frodo Wig) and wait another 1 month. Darn! I been waiting for it for months! >__< Well, will see how this Sat when I come down to the shop with Parish & Himi.

Sheesh! This girl har, got no face still want to do my dearest Haldir. PM her back saying Haldir had been reserved for someone else. NO WAY I gonna allow Tessie to even join the LOTR Screening with us and NO WAY I gonna allow her to even do any of the Elves as she'll trash it 100% with her bad taste, self-centeredness etc. So many people don't like her and I DON'T like her either!

Should had put a note at the forum that certain characters will have a Very Strict selection drive (aka we don't like u, we won't allow u to do that character and even join the outing!). Seems bad but I'm only trying to please everyone in the group so a few people had been "Ban" from joining the group or even attend the screening with us.

Okay, off to start making the Templates for my Ringwraith Gauntlets. -__^

Lazy Bones! @__@
Hasn't been writting since Thur and that is BAD for someone as free as me. -__- Got so much to vomit out but think they all had escape my mind.

Anyhow, went to Clive's Armor Making Workshop yesterday (since it's already Mon 3:21am). Only 2 turned up so we kinda had a leisure-like workshop. He talk about some basics in Armor making, what materials to use, glue, attachments etc. Shown him the Ringwraith Gauntlets and Haldir (though not the Templates courtesy of Julia). Said it can be done (Of course!) though tedious. Well, anyhow, had decide to do the Gauntlets during the workshop since I got to do at least 2 sets; 1 for myself, other for Hassan to make sure his Sauron is more presentable (I'm crazy! Willing to do anything for others except myself). And being myself, I probably give Hassan my first version since it'll not be the best (others are my Ginny Pig! Muwhahahaahhaha!). -__^ If I can finish it by the middle of the workshop, will do the parts I need for the Elven Archer Armor.

Something interesting I discover from talking to Clive during the workshop; he don't keep any of his Gundam Suit anymore shun for the helmets. @__@ All had gone down the Rubbish Chute. @__@ Don't think I can ever do that to my costumes & armor no matter how bad they are. Then again, 90% of the time, I make sure my Costumes, Props & Armors are durable as I'm more the Costumer type and I will create space for them. -__^ Now I wonder where I gonna keep my Elven Archer, Elven Soldier, Easterlings, Zam Wesell and maybe even Biker Scout Armor when I got them. -__-

Anyhow, feel like abandoning Myrtle's Robe till next week (when I got less disturbance) to start on those Gauntlets and Armor Boots. Printed out the notes I need (except the notes on how many pieces for the Ringwraiths & how many for the Witchking) and got the aluminium sheets so technically ready. Wait . . . I don't have the Glove/Gauntlets! >__< Never mind; my Gauntlets is meant to be worn on top of the Gauntlets Gloves instead of sew into it so I CAN start now. Accuracy Freak at work as usual. -__^

Oh, dropped by Spotlight Tampinese just now and to my horror, the Reddish-Maroon Paisey fabric I need (3/4 yard according to someone on the LOTR Costumes ML but I'll buy 1-2m anyway) for Arwen Blood Red Dress isn't there. Only got the plain blue, red and brown ones. So next best bet is to go to Spotlight Plaza Singapura on this 17th Aug the moment it opens at 11am. Heck, will not care about the sale price cause it was not much compared to the original price anyway. I want that fabric cause it may be the only time I can find it! -__^

Okay, off to bed and tomorrow may go wandering to Jewel's Costumes if I got the mood.
