About FRL Last Week....
I started working on Mon for some Orientation, Briefings and helping to pack the Goodies Bag for each schools plus tags for the Judges and Officials. Then, spent about an Hour talking to Ross about the SW Exhibition and talking cock with Idzani & Ross later in the Office before I took my leave.

Tues saw the start of the "Testing Out" Day for the 28 competitors. I was given the first batch of 5 Teams/Schools namely Admiralty Sec, Anglo-Chinese JC, Assumption English Sec, Cedar Girls' and Chestnut Drive Sec. Chestnut Drive came slightly later in the morning and stayed until they settled their Robot while ACJC came early, then left to do something to their robot, and came back in the evening to get their Robot approved as much as they can. Assumption English spent most of their time decorating their Booth since their team was divided into 2 groups, the ones handling the Robot and the ones taking care of the booth. Cedar Girls....well, their robot was gone case and they spent the whole of the day trying to get it to actual move in the first place. Admiralty Sec came late, something like at 4.30pm. @__@ The day ended at 5.30pm with all the last minutes trials and approving round for many school's robots. At the end of the day, we began ploting how puntual we can start the Seeding Rounds on Wed with only Chestnut Drive Robot approved and the other 3 (Admiralty, ACJC & AES) only need a little more work to be ready to go. Cedar Girls' Robot gets the "No Go" for the first Seeding Round as it can't even start up! @__@

Wed was good as everything went on smoothly. But due to the usual hickchups (aka schools not ready on time or misunderstandings on who to go next), the final Seeding Rounds was cancelled to ensure the day end on time. Later in the evening, the top 9 schools get to choose their Alliances. Can tell that certain schools had already formed their Alliances but a little bad luck prevented them from fulfilling it. Eg: Swiss Cottage obviously wanted to ally themselves with Chung Cheng High as in the final Seeding Round, they helped CCH get the most scores tho' their robots was also very good. But 2 schools choose them before CCH can choose them so they have to alliance with the 2nd school to choose them due to the fact that they can reject an alliance only once. =__= Then, we had the Bonding Nite and I ate and ate the lots and lots of food prepared that nite. The Laksa was great and pity I can't pack it home due to lack of Plastic Containers. =__=

Thur was the day all 9 Alliances compete againsts one another to see who will be the top 4 teams. Everything went on smoothly and the day almost ended on time if they didn't put in too many breaks in the earlier part of the day.

On Fri is the finals and the Alliance of Zhenghua Sec, Chestnut Drive and Riverside Sec emerged as the winner. After all the Prizes presentations, buying of merchandise (I gotten a Racer "Coach" Shirt plus a Cap), off we Staffs & Crew go to stuff ourselves with lots and lots of food in Newton Room. After kidnapping lots of Cheesecakes -__^ and Papaya, I joined Jane, Zaki, Jason and Henry for a little drink at that Cafe at Jurong East Library.

Overall, I'll rate the event as quite fun but still, NJRC is even more fun due to the bigger turnout. But still, something like NJRC happened at the end: Zhenghua Sec Teacher not happy that Swiss Cottage won the Challange Trophy even tho' they didn't get any prizes at first. Donno if he knows the meaning of "Being an All-Rounder" @__@

Interesting Facts.....

Got these from this Webpage

SUN SIGN
Pisces - Harmonious colors include: Turquoise, Purple, and White Pisces people like color (note: silk is best fabric for color) and natural fabrics (silk is the best of the naturals) Ideal silk: Crepe de Chine and Charmeuse in long, flowing garments, Silkery bargains appeal to you.

CHINESE SIGN
MONKEYS are intellectually sharp, witty, highly observant, clever, curious, loving, a good parent, and skillful in small enterprises and diplomacy. Thus, they pride themselves on wearing only the Queen of Fabrics, Silk. It was probably a Monkey who first said: Sew with Silk, its a Natural. But, if they buy a silky fabric rather than the real thing they will not hesitate a lie and claim the silky to be the real thing even though they are terribly uncomfortable in the garment.

Will post my report about FRL and the dilema I'm in rite now over my Sydney Trip after seeing the To Airticket timing and Pricetag.

I Can Still Smell It In The Air......
Of going under Arwen Requiem Gown that it! \/^__^

Was looking at this auction and reading the description when the feeling about how wrong the description was came. For a start, the Overdress/Jumper is a Grey Velvet (probably) that had been dyed Blue for the front panels, and the back Lavender/Lilac. And it isn't lined. For the Underdress, it was Lavender/Lilac and has a split at the back. Some parts are not hem/overstitch either.

You know, whenever I feel stressed or sad, guess like Sir Ian McKellen said about his memoriable experience being part of LOTR, I just need to close my eyes and think back to the days I spent working at the LOTR Exhibition, especially the final few days of Condition Reporting and I can feel my cheeks blush and my heart puff up out of great happiness. Memories will always last if you cherish it.

If I'm given a choice to repeat something in my life, I chose the whole of the LOTR Exhibition Experiences and this time, apply earlier to become the Condition Report when the items arrived in Singapore too! -__^

Okay, must apply early for the Star Wars one and that means starting and completing my Star Wars Costumes by May 19th and beyond, doing a great job on them and giving people like William, Ross and Anna a lecture on Costuming & Materials Usage in Star Wars! -__^

That reminded me, got lots of sketches to settle for the infos I had collected from the LOTR Exhibition. Cat is waiting.....

Oh! LOTR Exhibition Sydney or more stuffs for my Costuming Needs? @__@

THERE WILL BE A LINE PARTY!!!! \/^__^
Call this SMS from Reno this morning:

"There will be Line Party on May 19th. I asked Shaw to do it for the fans"

So I'll reply back to thank him and ask if they need people to handle the various parts of the Line Party. Well, personally I doubt we can do the full schedule I had cooked up (Late Afternoon till Night with the Climax being ROTS Midnight Screening) as that need more manpower and lots and lots of participation from the Fans other that it's meant for May 18th, a day before the May 19th Official Release, so something similar to that of the LOTR one will be cool, but with a part for General SW fans not in costumes/armor and for those passing by too. -__^

Hey! I'm no Iman who want to handle EVERYTHING that gots to do with LOTR (tho' I must confess I am a Tyrant and Queen Control at heart but with some self-control). I'm even resorting to my fate over the SW Exhibition as Anna had contacted Adam from the sg_starwars ML instead to handle stuffs. =__= Hai...guess Ross didn't tell her about me while Yu-Ann didn't noticed that I'm the City Rep of the Singapore Star Wars FanForce? o__O

Anyhow, this is what Adam had posted the other day at the ML:

Dear all SW members, I just came back from a meeting with the Asst Chief Executive of Science Centre.

Yes, it is CONFIRMED...

Science Centre will be doing an exhibition for SW just like the one that they did for LOTR, only that this time ard, it will be bigger!!!

The estimated period will be from Nov 2005 to Mar 2006.

I have been tasked to help them seek out likeminded SW fans to participate in the planning of this mega event....this thing will be big....the budget that they allocated is quite substantial.

They are also working with 20th Century Fox and Lucas Films to bring in stuff. One of the side event is the screening of SW in the Omni Threatre.

Currently, I am working with them on the other activities which will make the exhibition big enough to bring in tourists in addition to local. They are also working with EDB and STB to promote the event.

More publicity will be announced after the EP3 screening in May. There will also be a Charity Premeire of EP3 ard 12 May before the actual screening.

Right now we are still in the brainstorming stage, we are even thinking of getting GL in for a speech.

We might also work with Hasbro to bring in some limited edition toys which is only available to us!! Certain actors from EP3 might also be brought in to do the autograph of toys and stuff.

There will also be costume competition, etc.

What I need you guys to do is if you are interested to be in the organising or sub committee of this event, pls email me your Name, Contact Number, Profession and how you think you can help out!!!

I will then rope in those selected to meet the Asst Chief Exec or Events manager of Science Centre.

Adam
So what I can do it to contact him to say I'm interested in being part of the organization of activities and see what happen.

For now, got to continue my CR work and plan for the SW Line Party 2005. -__^

Darn! I need to go to Spotlight to get that 16" Invisible Open-End Zip as I lost the one I gotten on Sun =__= and get those McCall's Patterns I need (McCall's Buy 1-Get-2-Free!).

Ideal Dimension??
Well, if given the choice, I want to be 1.85m tall, Green Hair, more flat and very fair.

Then again, since that is not possible unless I got lots and lots of money to spare, just being 36-32/34-36/38 and weight of 55kg will do the job. -__^

Where am I now? Well, 38-34-42 and 74kg. =__=

Far to go I have and I hasn't been loosing weight the past couple of weeks.......
