I Am Officially Broke. . . .Again @__@
Went to Kinokuniya Liang Court to get the Screen Magazine Serene had kindly reserved for me just now. Then, on the way, I saw the Gothic Lolita Pattern Book/Magazine Vol, 2, Layers Vol. 2, COSMODE 005 and this KERA Magazine. So there I was browsing through them for an hour trying to decide if they are all worth to get.

Layers now cost a whoping SGD34.40 while COSMODE 005 SGD31.30 so after much self-debating, I decide to get them later. >__< Both have their own pros and con and since they are both March release, there is time to get them. The KERA Magazine wasn't worth to get so I give it an immediate rejection while I gotten the Gothic Lolita Pattern Book/Magazine Vol, 2 after a quick browsing to ensure it has no spoil pages.

Then off to the Bargain Alley to look for some bargain books and came across the #72 & #73 of Japanese Star Wars Fact File. It was so cheap at SGD2 each so was intending to get it tho' I can't ready Japanese until . . . . . .

I Saw The Hobbit Gift Box and The Art of The Return Of The King. O__O

Gotten the 2 instead of the SW Fact File so here I am broke after paying SGD45 and SGD64 respectively for the books. >__< Well, anyhow, I had been eyeing both books for quite some time so I should be happy that I forgo the SW Fact Files that I can't read for something more to my liking rite now. -__^

I'm turning my brain inside out looking and deciding on a design for a Black Dress for the Opening Ceremony of the LOTR Exhibition. And being the person I am, I refused to have the dress as a simple one and I don't wear anything short or sleeveless. So what kind of dress I'm aiming for? Yes Precious! Elegant Gothic Lolita/Aristocrat. @__@ Am picking up ideas from existing EGL/EGA dresses found online and my ELG related Magazines/Books for ideas.

So far, I want the dress to have a slight high collar, long sleeves and slightly flare skirt with a corset-like at the back or front. Will forgo the laces for now as it can be added later to the dress.

Hope Wei Chi aka Yazid & Hazel's Friend mom can do the dress for me tomolo, by Wed night or I have to search all over Singapore after work for a dress to wear. And if she can, got to rush to Chinatown to look for the fabrics and then rush to get it done. Will check with usual seamstress too just in case if she can get one done by Thur night.

For the Lord Of The Rings Motion Picture Trilogy The Exhibition at Singapore Science Centre.

Got a jolly a LOT of time to take notes of all the costumes and props at the exhibition but as a good worker, can only do it when there is no visitors or I'm on leave (and entered as a paying visitor). -__^ And most infos can only be released AFTER June 4th or when I get my last paycheck whichever come first. -__^ Will send it to Cat when it's ready to be released to the public.

Okay, gtg now and try to tidy up my room. It's rivalling Watto's Junkyard again. @__@

I Think I Got The Job . . . . .^__^
Went for the interview yesterday in a hurry with Ann and Roger as the interviewers and tho' I suck, I managed to get the job as a Show Host at the Exhibition. Hope I got in on my own credits rather than because I know them and others from SSC. -__- So there goes all my free time but in goes the money for me to buy more accurate items. ^__^ Will rush my March Warden so I have a new mobile LOTR Costume to wear when needed. -__^

The news about the people selected for the Opening Ceremony was also released yesterday and out of the 16 people from my group who applied, only 3 got in. Fiona as Aredhel Ar-Feiniel, Hazel as Arwen Requiem Dress and Esther as a Lothlorien March Warden. The bitchy, endless-complaining, Ranger girl also got in but at least, it's better than the bitchy, my-dress-is-translucent Elf Ranger Girl. Anyhow, the great shock was that people like Sena (Legolas), Victoria (Arwen Dream Dress), Qing Yuan (ROTK Elrond), Nessa (Galadriel) and Yazid (Frodo) didn't get it. Frankly, the shock was that the other 13 people in my group didn't get in as our costumes are at least 80% accurate. Then again, if what I suspect is true, our accuracy is the reason why we don't get selected. O__O New Line Cinema behind it? @__@

Will organizer an outing in costume to the exhibition or ROTK screening this weekend to pacify everyone. Anyway, there is still CosFest 2004 (tho' I planned not to do LOTR unless the group became 10 people or more) and Fans-Tasia 2004.
