godd
You are Form 1, Goddess: The Creator.

"And The Goddess planted the acorn of life.
She cried a single tear and shed a single drop
of blood upon the earth where she buried it.
From her blood and tear, the acorn grew into
the world."

Some examples of the Goddess Form are Gaia (Greek),
Jehova (Christian), and Brahma (Indian).
The Goddess is associated with the concept of
creation, the number 1, and the element of
earth.
Her sign is the dawn sun.

As a member of Form 1, you are a charismatic
individual and people are drawn to you.
Although sometimes you may seem emotionally
distant, you are deeply in tune with other
people's feelings and have tremendous empathy.
Sometimes you have a tendency to neglect your
own self. Goddesses are the best friends to
have because they're always willing to help.

I Had Gotten My LOTR Doujinshi!!!!! ^__^
And the 2 with Haldir on the cover is in the package; was afraid that the seller put them up for sale again as I nearly forget how many Doujinshis I had bought (&^@!*#&%$#@&^&%$ eBay's 30 Days Record!). In total, I had gotten 6 Doujinshi which will last me for quite some time tho' I'm itching to bid on more. XD Will start reading them later when I'm free. -__^

Anyhow, this morning, Sharm and me went to Junction 8 at 11am to watch ROTK (the 10.30am show). This is my 6th viewing (had reached my target! ^__^ ) and Sharm's 2nd so I saw a few other stuffs about the costumes and armor, and get to write down certain dialogs. So far, I got these:
- There seems to be some sort of Scalloping Sewing on the edges of Arwen's Blood Red Dress
- The back of Elrond's Robe confirmed has a Reverse Pleat from the waist down
- There is the "neck protector" on the Witchking's Paldrons. His armors were also put on by Orcs of Minas Morgul
- "Certainty of death; Smuge to success! What are we waiting for?" Gimli

I still need to see and quickly copy the monologue Frodo said when he was at Bags End. Something like "How do you go back to the life like once before? . . . some hurts run too deep . . ." A great pity as on today, there is only 6 showings at 5 cinemas out of 29 cinemas in Singapore. >__< Also must remember to go to Borders to get one of those reading light so I can write easier in the cinema.

I also went out with Fiona *again* to Chinatown to get the fabrics for Kenneth's Fitwit Costume. We went through all the shops there and finally came to buy this SGD10 (original price 12-16 I think) 60" Grey Jersey Velvet and some sort of Patterned Crepe Satin for the Sash. So SGD35 had been deducted from Kenneth's budget of SGD40-60.

And while there, I saw a few White Patterned Chiffon (the shop owner said they are Silk) that came be used for Galadriel's Dress. One has nice small flowers & vines but only about 3m left. The other is mostly vines and got lots left. Both goes for SGD9/m which is a bit too much IMHO. I could try to bargain for SGD7 if I buy a lot. Anyhow, I have no idea if I want to do Galadriel's again or how much fabrics I'll need to make either of her dress. I can't spare the cash currently anyway. -__- Will see how the next few days or when I got there again.

Okay, off to tidy up downstair as Fiona is coming later this afternoon to sew her costume and I need to start on my Fountain Guard Shirt aka Haldir Tunic Mock-ups. I think I also better catch a lot of sleep or I'll be stonning again.

ROTK WON 4 GOLDEN GLOBE AWARDS!!!!!!!!! ^_____^
It's BEST DRAMATIC FILM, BEST DIRECTOR, BEST ORIGINAL SCORE and BEST SONG. A HUGE Congratulation to the people behind LOTR, especially the Casts & Crew! ^__^ Can read the news here -__^

Today, I went out with Fiona to Spotlight Tampines for some fabric hunting. Sharm was suppose to join us but she had to cancel it at the last minute so it's just Fiona and me. We look through the fabrics and discussed a bit about them. I managed to pick up 1.8m of 148cm Brown Cotton Velveteen for SGD9 after the 50%-All-Remenants-Discount in the remenant bin. Think I can use it for my first Shieldmaiden Vest & Corset, which I'm intending to do for my Kick Orc Eowyn Dress (I'm suppose to finish doing her Refugee Dress). Also gotten a 8 FL. OZ bottle of Mod Podge (SGD13.95), 2 bottles of Polymark Dimensional Fabric and Craft Paint Paint (SGD3.30 each) and a Twin Sewing Machine Needle.

Later, went to Delifrance to eat dinner and discuss about our costumes before going home by MRT.

Ps: I still can't decide wherther I should get this Orange Velour at Spotlight for a TPM Handmaiden Travelling Dress. It cost SGD6.99/m but I not sure if I really want to take up doing the outfit again after dunking it years ago. >__<

I Really, Really Must Stop Eating Garbage . . .
I really had gained weight from the last time I checked and that means BAD VERMIN! >__< Need to do and finish till the end that Cambridge Diet thinging. Think I better start tomolo as today confirm cannot avoid Fast Food as I'm going out later for Materials hunting with the members of my LOTR Group.

Other than that . . .some random report on what I had been up since I last post regularly. -__-

I finally gotten Butterick 5944 in Size 14-16-18 from Spotlight Tampines which should fit me. The Size 8-10-12 is now with Sharm as she needed it to make the tunics for her "Gondorian Dumbo" (I also need to start on it but I got my new 5944 at hand). Oh yes, spent an hour or 2 cutting all the tunics pieces (One thing I hate about Commercial Patterns!).

I also gotten McCall's 3508 (Bridal Veil), Simplicity 5726 (Chemise, Corset & Petticoat) and Simplicity 5917 (Jumper). All 4 are at 50% + 10% discount from the normal price.

While at Spotlight Tampinese, I also bought 5m of this Wrinkled Geogette or Organza as it cost SGD1.99/m. Have no exact idea what to do with it (thot of doing another Elven Dress with Prolog Galadriel-like sleeves but the lines will be in the wa) but I think I'm leading towards the 2nd sleeves for an Arwen Coronation-like dress. The problem is, I have no idea what color to use for the Jumper and sleeves in order for the colors not to clash. As soon as I scan a swatch of it (and other swatchs), I'll post online and ask for opinions on what color for the Jumper and Sleeves I should choose at the LOTR_Costume ML.

On the LOTR Group Front, Kenneth (Fiona's Friend, not our dear Kenneth Boba Fett) may do Fitwit or Elven Archer instead of Gondorian Bowman. But if I or/and Sharm manage to make the helmet base, wonder if he'll be interested in the Bowman again.

Hmm, got to go and bath now (yes, I haven't slept since 11am yesterday O__O ) and then maybe rush to Clark Quay before meeting the people from my group for some materials shopping at City Hall at 12pm.

Hope I don't drop down and fall asleep while shopping. O__O

OMG! Someone In Japan Did Leggy Boy's Daddy! O__O
Here's the photos
Not bad! -__^ Really protray how I see him.
Okay, where am I?

I have got a lot of stuffs to do and yet here I am stuck to the Internet to check Forums, Mails, ML and donno what else. -__- I still got a couple of websites to do on Celebro (yes, I'm on Celebro currently and he been behaving for an hour or so), namely update the LOTR Group Website with photos, Haldir-Rumil's Marsh Warden and a website outlining my plans for the Gondor Fountain Guards Armor. I also got to continue transfering data from Celebro into my bro's computer and the CD-RW as I really need to reboot completely the Window system of this Notebook.

Aiyoh! I don't know when I'll see the end to my works on the computer. Okay will talk more later when I get on the other computer or something. -__^

The Usual Dosage Of Quizes:

goodbroken
Your wings are BROKEN and tattered. You are
an angelic spirit who has fallen from grace for
one reason or another - possibly, you made one
tragic mistake that cost you everything. Or
maybe you were blamed for a crime you didn't
commit. In any case, you are faithless and
joyless. You find no happiness, love, or
acceptance in your love or in yourself. Most
days are a burden and you wonder when the
hurting will end. Sweet, beautiful and
sorrowful, you paint a tragic and touching
picture. You are the one that few understand.
Those that do know you are likely to love you
deeply and wish that they could do something to
ease your pain. You are constantly living in
memories of better times and a better world.
You are hard on yourself and self-critical or
self-loathing. Feeling rejected and unloved,
you are sensitive, caring, deep, and despite
your tainted nature, your soul is
breathtakingly beautiful.

Anyhow, I know what I really need for my Birthday:

An Electrical Drill

Must be able to go through concrete wall and wood. Not too bulky but not to cheapo either. Got warranty and most probably Black in color (I love Black -__^ ). Black & Decker seems like a great brand to get for me. So those reading this post and want to give me something for my birthday, please put your money together with the rest and get my my Electrical Drill. ^__^ I desperately need one to hang up the Plaques so I can hang up my swords and also a bunch hooks in my room and in the kitchen. ^__^

Danny Almost Made Me Cry Myself To Sleep Tonite . . .
He SMS on Fri (rite?) about selling his Narsil and Strider's Ranger Swords for SGD180 each and then yesterday (Sat), he call me up while I was out with Sharm, Wyane, Xeno and Yazid that another guy offer SGD220 each for each sword. O__O Ask for a few minutes to think about it and consult those there before calling him again that I'll take it if it's SGD220.

Then rush to Orchard to try to withdraw the SGD440 before SMS him to tell that I'll meet him at Alaric's to pay up and get the sword. Then he called me up to say that he can't go out and the other fellow offered a lot more for the Strider's Sword (SGD270) so he can only sell me Narsil. O__O Well, out of my previous "sadness" of not able to own Anduril since it's SOLD OUT throughout the world, I said fine; I'll still take it.

Was bitting off my fingers cause I was expecting to own the Strider's Ranger Swords for basically that it's more suited for my height (and that's why Narsil ended up with my brother who is getting taller than me and will for the next 2-3 years) and I have a better chance of using it with other costumes (hmm, Dumbos anyone?). And the fact that one fine day when I got a stable income I can buy its official scabbard from somewhere.

Then while me, Sharm and Wyane were at Comic Mart at Specialist Centre, Danny called again to say that he feels bad about the chaos that happened today so he'd changed his mind and will sell me both swords. ^__^ He doesn't know the other fellow well anyway and I said that I kinda had helped him here and there so he felt that the swords will be better off with me. Jump up and down at Comic Mart after I seal the deal.

Soooooo, later this morning, I'll call him up to ask what time it's most comfortable for me to come down to his house to take the swords and pay up. ^__^ Frankly, I keep forgetting his block and house no. so will have to go there by train and go to his house as how I remembered the way.

Now I just need to go and clear up my room, find the drill, do a LOT of calculations and finally hang up all 3 plaques on my wall (well, you don't expect me to drill holes into my brother's room one rite since that is not really his room but rather my elder brother who is still in Singapore currently and owned me my FOTR:EE and TTT:EE DVDs. o__O ) Oh! And dig all over my room looking for cash to afford a new curtain pole and get some cheap curtains to so the plaques have a lower chance of getting UV/whatever damaged. Think they will probably end up about the headboard of my bed (Will someone get me a PROPER build-in wardrobe on ONE side of the room?)

No, I can't be sleeping with all 3 swords; 1 for soooooo many months is already enough for me.

Anyhow, now that I'll be the owner of 2/3 Swords, I'll have to bid Good-Bye to a lot of stuffs I wants. Good-Bye my love; maybe one day when all my debts had been paid I'll own you.
- All new LOTR Action Figures
- SW Collectibles
- NB's Narya
- NB's Stuffs
- Tailored Costumes and Clothings
- New Clothing (this one no problem as my wardrobe is still full of clothings that I can't use for costuming)
- ZIP Drive and Disks
- Fast Food and Taxi Fares
- Costumes: Arwen Battle Dress, Arwen BR Dress, Arwen Ceremonial/Coronation Dress, Arwen's Requien Dress, Prologu Elven Warrior, Pokemon Costumes, Young Boba Fett, Jedi Apprentice Si-Addien, Kropserkel's Customized "Darth Maul" Lightsabre, Reiko, Adam Kadmon, Jibrille,
- Props: Zam Wesell's Rifle, Rubies Amidal Pistol, Boba Fett Helmet, Scout Trooper Armor

Hmm, maybe I really should start selling some of my stuffs. Why in the world did I owned THREE Easterlings Action Figures, each costing SGD25? @__@ The KFC SW Toppers are also taking up too much space on my wardrobe.

Friday, January 09, 2004

I Think Both Sword Is Going To Be In My Hands. . .
My brother said he don't mind owning Narsil and I seems to favour Strider's Ranger Sword more. So that will make the swords count to 3 and I really must get the sword polisher and go through the monthly ritual of sword polishing. Oh! And find a space to hang the swords.

Anyhow yesterday, at the Chingay Briefing, I thot I saw that guy who did Yoda I saw from the 1999 Pepsi-The Hereen SW Costumes Contest. Think he and friends may done "SW" Costumes at the Parade.

Unknown to him, as always, I'm trying to squeeze in a Lightsabre and a Shade for most member of the LOTR Team. -__^ For a number of us in the team, it was SW that united up. Personally, I fall in love with LOTR because I was introduced to it by my SW friends (and same thing happened with The Matrix). So it is just out of our first love that we tend to put in some SW props or link or poses into our presentation when we are wearing other costumes. XD

SAURON: Bilbo never tell you what happened to your father.
FRODO: He tell me enough! You killed my father!
SAURON: No Frodo; I AM your Father!
FRODO: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Yub, can't separate a Sith Lord/Jedi from his Lightsabre. -__^

Thursday, January 08, 2004

Yub, yub! With that price, I'm bound to buy one of it from him but not sure which. -__- If I get Narsil, it's Scabbardless meaning I must find ways to get a real scabbard made for it. Will see how the next few days. -__- If I get both, long term I can only afford a few Action Figures at actual retail price and I better get a job. And no more tailoring job for my costumes unless it's really something I can't do (like 14 pleats on a school skirt?)

Went To Arab Street Yesterday. . . .
Gotten 2 types if Silver Netting for Kheldar's Boromir Chainmail and will see how it will work with Black Spandex Backing to create the illusion of Chainmail.

Also gotten this reddish brown Wet Look Vinyl to make the Vambrace Underpads.

Other than that, made a run to Arts Friends and gotten more Aluminium Sheets and 1 piece of the Craft Foam. I think the Craft Foam at Arts Friend cost more than the one at Spotlight as the later is only SGD2 compared to AF's $3.39. Should be using the Craft Foam to make the Hip Armors of my Elven Archer Armor as I need something that is soft on my hips. -__^

Oh! I met Aisyah and her BF while at Arts Friend and she confirmed her Uruk. -__^ So this Rumil will have someone to fight with this March! ^__^

Okay, off to check my mail and then get ready to meet the rest for the LOTR Meetup today at 5pm and 7pm.

Ps: I LOVE WETA and the people who made the props for LOTR. Lookie lookie what might be handed over in ROTK:EE or is lying at one corner of Rivendell's Library, tugging at Aragorn about his heirloom everytime he went past it. -__^

Took This Lyric From Misa's Journal

Home is behind
The world ahead
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadow
To the edge of night
Until the stars are all alight

Mist and shadow
Cloud and shade
Away shall fade
Away shall...
fade

It's the lyric to the song sung by Pippin in ROTK when Denethor told him to sing him a song while he eats. Very sad it was, as Pippin sings and seeing Faramir leading his 200 men to their death at Osgiliant while Denethor eat and eat in his depression. Think Denethor will make a good case study of people who eat and eat to get rid of their despression. -__-

Ps: I need to get my butt to Army Market, No. 1 CostumeCostume, Arab Street, Arts Friend and Chinatown to do some checking and buying of fabrics and parts. Been wanting to do it since yesterday but keep waiting up late and got lots of stuffs to do on my computer or online. >__< Will try again tomolo; today, I'll make a run to AMK Central to get some 3 1/4" Disks and CD-RW.

Pss: I need to really, really cut down on my eating! Today I had a proper lunch as yesterday I only drank 1 sachet of that Cambridge Diet for Breakfast/Lunch and 2 Char Siew "Sausage" & a bowl of Mushroom Soup for Dinner. Today, plan to eat another sachet of the Diet and no other meals other than bottles upon bottle of plain water. I need to loose at least 5kg by end of this week and 10-20 by end of this month!

Just Need To Get This Off My Mind . . .

Must One be a Chinese to be a Cosplayer in Singapore? O__O

Check out this thread and the posts that were posted:

I Asked (since someone will usually be kind enough to scan the article every year)
"Can anyone scan the page for those who don't read the newspaper?"

elementa master
"lol...u dont read?"

EdwardElric
"please desu. i also don't read newpaper(cos no money to buy) desu *Roll Eyes*"

Wonder where they placed their eyes or their brains. Ever since the AXN Cosplay Contest in June 2001, there is at least 1 non-Chinese Cosplayer seen at the events (back then it was Sharm and/or Lin and that Malay guy who also study Japanese). By the time I entered the arena in Dec 2001, there is at least 3 at each events and now, the number is hitting 10 and more. So there is bound to be some people who can't read Chinese at all but still interested to know!

In the case of SW/LOTR Costuming, almost half of the pioneers here in Singapore are Malay or Indian and the no. still stand at at least 1/3 of the total no. of Costumers.

Hai . . .a big no wonder people who can think for themselves HAVE to "protect" these people from being exploited or tell them what they can do and they can't do. Yes, I still stand by what I did for the Liang Court Cosplay and its bycotting. There is a HUGE difference between just donning a costume and actually attempting to replicate a particular costume/armor from a specific movie/comic/anime/manga/game/group.

Sometimes I wonder why I took the trouble to care about these people and their general affair. @__@ I tried to help but at the end of the road, it's my head that get stepped on and not a word of "Thank you". Idiots!

Yes, Precious; I'm pulling away my expertise from these people. They don't deserve what I can offer and they can't even offer a lead to what I seek.

Ps: I need to go hunting for a shop selling a Plank 4' Long and about 8" wide. And a round bottom flowerpot that can snuggly fit my head. o__O
I Wonder . . . .
Which of the photos from the Dec 17th Line Party should I use in the report to be sent to Cat of ACS-LOTR?

So far, I only got the photos from Parish and my collection that I can officially use in the report. Got another 2-3 other sets from other attendees' collection but I shouldn't use them unless I buy the hardcopies from them. Waiting for more from people like Hassan etc gonna be quite sometime and I'll like to submit the report ASAP. -__- Will see how later.

Will also have to write a report for our Dec 18th LOTR Costume Parade and Dec 27th Fans-Tasia 2003 but that can wait. Main Priority to the Dec 17th Line Party.

Off to write a report on Eowyn's Shieldmaiden Dress for Sarah now.

No Matter What, You Can't Run Away From. . . .
STAR WARS!!!!!!

Why?
- When I wake up, I see Darth Maul 12" & Padme Buddies hugging each other beside me.
- Darth Maul is still making faces at Aragorn (aka my Darth Maul Poster is on my Wardrobe side facing the door)
- My SW Collection still occupy 5 out of the 6 levels of my Bookcase. 2nd Level occupied by my pathatic LOTR Collection.
- My Zam Wesell Costume/Armor is still tugging in my mind, asking to be finished ASAP.
- My Jedi and Sith Costumes still tugging in my mind, asking to be completed soon.
- I still attempt to use the Force when opening Automatic Sliding Door. XD
- My Username
- SW is what connect and introduced me to everyone in the Singapore SW FanForce which leads to us doing LOTR & The Matrix Costuming
- A day not go by without me saying a word from SW.

See, I'm still a SW Geek during the LOTR Fever.

Just my usual useless rambling . . .

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY MR. J.R.R. TOLKIEN!!!! ^__^

Thank you sooo much for bringing to life LORD OF THE RINGS & THE HOBBIT and leaving behind for us after you passed on to the next world, THE SILMARILLION, UNFINISHED TALES & HISTORY OF MIDDLE-EARTH.

Friends and me had gave a toast to your day yesterday (Jan 3rd) with Fruit Juices and Ice Lemon Tea and spent our Sat Afternoon discussing about LOTR. -__^

Ps: Should I allow myself to be the Middle-Earth version of Dumbo or just stay with that Elven Fellow who ate too much Lembas Bread? o__O
