I have too many cloths near my door. Their height is now as tall as my wardrobe beside it. @__@ Can't wait to turn most of them into costumes! And yub! As soon as I can spare some cash, must pay IKEA a visit and get some boxes to fill with the cloths and trimmings so the pile will be better labelled, arranged and won't fall off too often. One of these boxes I think! -__^ IKEA is having a sale anyway! -__^

I have too many clothings. -__- Need to dispose off some of my old t-shirts and wear the new ones on a daily basis (of course not the SW ones lah!). Frankly, my clothing wardrobe is bursting and I still got lots of the ones I usually wear when I go out hanging on the window. And I also haven't put in my costumes which is increasing on no. (Note to self: Buy a couple more yards of that plastic cover from the Photo/Bridal Shop for my other costumes, including Galadriel's).

Yazid want to borrow one of my LOTR gowns for his friend. WTF? @__@ Think the gowns is one fit all kind is it? They were all made to my size and I doubt anyone else skinnier than me can wear it (actually, it's more on the shoulder width cause both collars are pretty big). And both gowns cost above SGD200 and lending to a 15 year old kid doesn't seems okay to me. -__- Will see how my mood swing.

And yub, money low again and I still need to go for the Armor Making class this Sun. Will see where I can find SGD50 at least to survive till Aug 13th. >__<

Oh! Did I mentioned that I had started printing the templates for the Ringwraiths Armor boots, pictures of the Gauntlets and some of the templates for the Elven Archer Armor? ^__^ Yes, must do them all this year! -__^ Anyhow, for the Elven Archer, I'm aiming for the look when they first arrive at Helm's Deep aka only Cloak, Helmet, Wrist Guard and Glove, Boots, Bow, Elven Sword and Quiver need. Maybe when I'm more stable in body shape and more expert can do the rest like Chest Armor, Shoulder Bell, Skirt, Maile & Hip Armor.

Oh! Julia is onto the Hip Armors now. And Leiasky and gang going into this armor soon too as their 2nd Age one is completed.

Err, while on Leiasky, she might own me USD30 instead of SGD20 for those SW MRT Cards from 1999. o_O Found a notepad where I wrote how many of those cards I got to buy back then. If only I can verify that she did received those cards last Christmas 1999. >__<

I also owned this guy USD10 anyway for a SW Insider but lost his e-mail, his address on the envelope too unreadable, he had moved house and my trying to contact him through the ML is not responded. It's back in 1999 anyway! >__<

Had opened my Haldir Action Figure cause Clefairy was begging me to.

REAL REASON: I need to scan the figure and weapons to show Julia and everyone at the Haldir's Elven Archer Forum. -__^ Here's the page anyhow.

My, the action figure had revealed quite a lot to me. Not saying Julia's Website on the armor hasn't been useful but for me, I need something physical in my hand to understand how something comes together or is constructed. I'm such a slow learner. -__-

Hmm, tomolo still need to scan Profile Pictures of other characters from Galaxy Angels and settle the stuffs I want to sell at the MAC Gathering. Hopefully, I can get off from the computer from Monday onwards and start working on Myrtle's Robe since I gotten almost everything I need to make it (Okay, maybe shun for the Lining but I think I shouldn't line her Robe since that Polyester Suiting Fabric is pretty thick). Other than that, fund is dwelling and it's only July 25th. >__< And I had signed up with Clive's Armor Making Classes which will cost SGD60, to be paid on the first day of class.

Oh, I still VERY Angry with that lightafire girl although I think she had sent a PM to explain herself or something. Don't want to ruin my good mood over getting the Haldir Action Figure or had gotten the Galaxy Angels Book or had scanned and send some shots to someone to assist her in doing Forte. Frankly, since I know Rebeltawn is her Twin sister, I feel like asking Parish, Himi, Snowykiss, Lizzy, Shuhui etc to discuss about our HP Outing privately and not ask Rebeltawn & lightafire along. I Smiling Like A Baka & Maully Sulking In A Corner . . .
Because I became a Baka and gotten the Helm's Deep Battle Set! ^__^ Cost me a blasting SGD49.90 and I feel it worth every cent cause it had Haldir! -__^

Was hugging it tightly the moment I choosen the best one (based on Haldir's Armor of course!), all the way out of Takashimaya SC to the MRT, inside the MRT, then inside the bus till I get home. Clefairy also jumping up and down cause she gotten a Haldir Dolly (all LOTR Action Figures are Clefairy's Dolly while all SW Action Figures except the SD ones are Padme's). Am sooooo happy rite now! ^__^

But I kinda regret buying the Galaxy Angels Recipe Book today (yub! choosen it over the Character Book cause it's cheaper) but then, let's just say I'm giving myself that occasional gift and next month's extras will totally goes towards getting the Witchking sword (SGD250). Well, when was the last time I bought an action figues? Think it was the Twilight Witchking many, many months ago which cost SGD15.90. Anime related books? Last year with the DUAL! Date File. Okay, no Sushi, no special drinks, no snacks, no MacDonalds, no KFCs, no Long John, no whatever outside for me anymore till Aug 12th. Even then, I got to channel all my moneys towards my LOTR Props & Costumes. Well, I know I can do it! -__^

While on LOTR, I posted that maybe I should play cheat and do the Elven Archer's Sword, Helmet, Gauntlets and Cloak by this Dec just to pacify my temptation to do the whole Elven Archer Armor. -__^ Using Julia's and Kai's Temptlets and guides of course. Will start on it as soon as I settle Myrtle's Robe and my Ringwraith Costume (Arwen will just need to settle the design/drawing & materials).

Okay, off to settle more stuffs and then reshuffles those newspaper articles I had put aside and go to sleep. My eyes kinda gotten heavy . . . -__-

So according to the website, my patch must be 6" by 6" design with total dimension of 6.5" by 6.5" (1/4" seam allowance), and must submit by 12 midnight, 15 August 2003. Hmm, got some time to do it.

I should do a patch or 2 for that Singapore Patch Blanket thinging organized by ChannelNewsAsia. Got lots of scrap cloths left behind (keep forgetting to give them to the Recycling Collector) so make as well contribute to the project. And I got some patterned cloths lying around (extras from Mak's Baju or bought to make some Lolita Headdress) so can make it even more interesting. -__^

Me And My Cosplaying Addiction . . . . >__<
Since I said I want to do Vanilla from Galaxy Angels, I kind had decide to buy the Artbook. Check out Kino yesterday for them (while going out with Parish, Lizzy, Himi and ??) and found 2 books:
-Character File SGD47+
-Recipe Book SGD40+

Both got the Profile pictures of Vanilla (and the rest of the cast) Front-Back-Side but the ones in the Recipe Book is smaller and put near the centre seam. The book is newer too and contain a LOT more pictures from the Anime. Anyhow, had Kino reserved both copies for me and will make the decision this Tues; wish I can reserve it for a month tho'. -__-

While at Kino, also browse through COSMO 003. MUST GET THIS ISSUE! -__^ It got some tips on how to do Armors and lots of great other tips. But with a pricetag of SGD29, think if I DO get it, probably after I successfully sell off my stuffs next Sat at the MAC Monthly Gathering.

Oh! I met Danny while at Kino too and he got a new sword! O__O Wow! I wonder how his room looks like now. -__^

On another note, I really need to upgrade my Yahoo! Mail account. The best bargain I can see will be the 25MB Mail Plus one but it cost USD29.99/year. Ya, I could go for the normal 10MB or 25MB ones but I'm thinking a bit into the future cause I doubt I want to re-register a SingNet Account. Adding that USD10 will allow all my Yahoo! Mails to be directly put into my Outlook Express (once my computer is fixed). And I also want to take up my own Domain Webspace from Tripod or Yahoo. -__- Aduh! Must start making and selling stuffs it seems, or even start working (Ya, by next Jan, I MUST get a proper job, maybe even at the Science Centre since the LOTR Exhibition is coming to Singapore).

Some Quick Notes Again . . . .
Yesterday (since it's now Fri) is officially a day of Bolt Buying. Went to Arab Street to get those Matt & Wet Look Vinyl for one of the Malaysian Cosplayers. While there, I itchy finger go and buy the same fabric I gotten for my Neo Reloaded Coat, thinking for either my Ver. 2.0 one or Myrtle or a GL Dress I'm interested in, and so I again bought ALL 5+m of it. Cost the same at SGD5/m unfortunately, although I feel like this bolt is shorter. @__@

Then still itchy finger go to the other shops to look around. Stop at the only shop that sell the Black Silk Velvet to ask when they are bringing in a new bolt and to my horror discovered that they are not going to anymore. >__< Went around to look for another alternative but found none so back to the shop. Then gotten whatever Black Silk Velvet they have (3+m) at SGD32 (Normal Price SGD15/m; the Price I always gotten SGD12/m). Hai . . . just enough for the Mourning Gown sleeves (or the Blood Red Dress Jumper). So I now must give in to the "fake" Silk Velvet at Chinatown for the body part of the dress (SGD10/yard one and a bit elastic and coat not that long) or some Rayon Velvet. Unless I use 100% Polyester Velvet (SGD6.50/m) but think better not cause that thing is thick and stiff. >__<

Broke, I went to City Hall MRT to pass the Vinyl to Sean/SDF-2 so he can pass it to the Malaysian Cosplayer this Weekend.

Then off to Spotlight to get my Black Cheesecloth. There were 3 bolts of them there so I gotten the one that is of the medium amount (the other seems like a new bolt while the other seems too little and was labelled 4m). Ordered for 10m but at the 10th metre, there is hardly left so I bought ALL of it. Total length: 11.75m at SGD35.15. Great! One of the layers for my Ringwraith costume gonna be very baggy. -__^

So I'm Officially very, very broke for now. Still left almost SGD200 after adding in whatever I had hidden in my Coinbank but must remember that I should set aside SGD100 at least to pay for the Witchking Sword next month (yes, delaying it to next month due to both lack of space to hang it and lack of money to spare) and the marketing for the rest of this month till next Aug 13th.

Anyhow, I'm planning to sell of some stuffs end of this month at the MAC Screening cum Bazaar so I may get some cash from there. So far had only a few things to let go:
- 1 Dull Blue Shoes (suppose to be for AOTC Padme Tatooine Dress but the actual one doesn't suit me so scrape the idea)
- KERA Magazine
- 3 POTF2 Action Figures (with Slides some more!)
- 3 McDonald Muppet Babies Plush
- Evagalion: The Movie VCD
Err, that's all for now till I do more digging.

Will let them go for at least SGD5 each (item). Maybe put a notice at my booth too that says "Please buy my stuffs so that I can empty my room and afford the costume for EOY Event Cosplay".

I need a few more hundreds to get a few costumes done this year:
- Mourning Gown
- Vanilla (maybe!)
- GL Dress (maybe! doing it cause its design is same as Vanilla's so my seamstress can use the same pattern)

And haven't added in the amount I need to buy the materials for Jeanette's Galadriel Dress (could ask her to pay for the materials and I do the gown for free as a late birthday gift) and more materials for my Ringwraith Costumes. Oh! Don't forget the wood for my Elven Sword (Julia had added me to the list of Elven Costumers at her site). Enshi is rite, maybe I should do it myself, with the help of Uncle Yong of course! -__^

I Really Feel Like
Adopting some of those LOTR Pixer Dolls from one or all of the Japanese sites. They are sooo adorable and unique IMHO. Maybe I can put them on my LOTR: The Project 2003 website or somewhere related to my LOTR Costumes. -__^

Today, I had scanned all the pictures from the film I gotten back yesterday and also a few other stuffs. Now going to spend a couple of hours processing them and maybe posting them up in my Yahoo! Album for others to see.

Eowyn K.O. (Kick Orc) Dress

I'm doing her Refugee Dress and if I combine the Inner Dress and make the corset/vest, I can get this Dress. -__^ That'll make 2 costumes in 1! ^__^

Some Quick Notes:

I had gotten my Mary Janes Shoes (Size 9!) for my Myrtle Costume. Not "The One" but it got the basic features of low heels, squarish front, black and front strap etc. Cost me SGD19.90 so I'm not complaining. -__^ Now I need to get a Grey Stockings to complete it and do my Robe & Pinafold. Oh, also get the Hogwarts Patch as soon as it's ready. ^__^

I had finally uploaded a few pages on my new Elven Ears, comparision between the different Harry Potter Patches sold, and comparision between Bias Tapes & Pippings. Also a page containing Pin's Elrond Costume and her bro's Sam Costume. Had also send them the address of those 2 pages. ^__^

Developed 1 film and it's the rest of the Harry Potter OotP Outing and the TCZ Cosplay Competition. Will send the other as soon as I got SGD12 to spare (Man! Why did my regular photo shop changed its services to Kodak? It used to be SGD10 or less for developing a films and getting all 36 prints >__< ). Also need to finish the film currently in the camera.

Also gotten a SGD25 Pod Top-Up Card and it's picture of Storm. Feel like selling it and the IceMan one on eBay together. I'm not that such a big X-Men Fan and I have no idea if I want to keep them. -__- Anyhow, I can use some cash in my PayPal account rite now. -__^

Bought 2 more 4R 200 Photo Albums at Popular. Thot of getting 3, 1 more to store the family photos but I think better to calculate how many I need first. Maybe even get the 300 ones instead to reduce the amount of albums.

Had also reuploaded my photos from CosMas to my Cosplay.com account. Hope that Haru didn't find it; I'm VERY PISSED OFF that he just posted the link at the CF Forum without asking my permissions! >__< Had adding in pictures of my Elven Ears and not label the photos CosMas to cover up my track. Must remember to tell Aisyah, Pin & her bro and the Paiway Cosplayer the link.

Tomolo or another day, must find a way to upload all those CosMas photos I want to contribute to the Photo CD done by Victor. Yub, probably only max 2/3 of them and no profile photos.

Oh! I had trouble publishing the webpages using MS FrontPage (due to problems with this computer or the program or Tripod) so I had to upload the files/pages one by one to my Geocities Account using their Upload Tool.

Err, where did I put last Nov Harry Potter Photos? Can't find the album in my room! @__@

I had received my Elven Ears from Germany today! Woh! That IS Fast as I placed the order and paid on Monday 7/7/03. So that means it took merely 5 working days (or 6 normal days) for the item to arrive here from Germany. Hai . . . if I had known, I would had placed my order on 27th June so can get the ears by 4/7 in time for CosFest. So now I got to find a way to repaint to match my ears color and practice fixing it myself.

Next on the list in order of importants:

- Liquid Latex ("Dark" Flesh Color?)

I Think I Had Found A Nice Mary Janes. . .
It's at a shop at AMK Central and cost SGD19.90. The face seems to be some kind of soft vinyl and the front not that square but think it'll do the job. Will get a pair as soon as I got the money. -__^ After that still got to look for the stockings, tie and round collar white shirt.

As for my Dec Cosplay (both on 1st day of Comic Fiesta & MAC EOY Event), I feel like want to do Vanilla from Galaxy Angels. She is the most covered up among the team and I want to become a silent character for once. -__^ Well, can use Cotton Drills for the Dress and Cardboard or Sintra (if I can get it from someone in USA) for the headpiece BUT it's a matter of wherther I do it myself or get it done by my usual seamstress or get a costume shop (most unlikely -__- ). And that means adding another costume to my list, and probably another SGD150 poorer. -__- Will ask my usual seamstress and the costume shops to quote me. If less than SGD70, I'll take it; if not, either do it myself or forgo it. Materials should cost around SGD30-40 so am trying to keep the cost to slightly more than SGD100 max. Ya, if I do it myself, it'll equal to the amount I pay for the materials alone. But that costume got Princess Seams and I've no experience in it yet. >__<

Foam Latex Elven Ears. Someone on the LOTR Costumes ML recommanded Foam Latex for better comfort so been looking around for a good one. Here's the 2 I been recommanded so far:

Nu-Products Pointed Ear Tips
Pro: Foam Latex
Con: Tip seems too pointy and price *ahem*

Nu-Products Elfin Ears
Con: Look more like belong to an Orc.

Burman MED. ELF/POINTED EARS

Hai . . . no hurry in getting them as I'll probably do it after I had gotten the Woochies Ears but if I'm getting from Burman, make as well get it together with that PROS-AIDE ADHESIVE and DETACHOL (aka remover).

Anyhow, at Costumes & Mascot, she got sell Spirit Gum with Remover (SGD19), Liquid Latex (tiny bottle, SGD15) and bits of Braided Beard with Spirit Gum (SGD15). Hai . . . I wonder if I should get those stuffs from there.

Other than that, I need to find the tutorial for making those Ringwraiths Gauntlets and Leg Armors. It's inside Celebro and I have no way of accessing it until I get a new AC/DC Converter. >__<

CosFest 2003
It was okay. Very crowded compared to last year and I suspect due to the better timing (just after school holiday) and the Freebies. I came as Galadriel in her Illustration Gown and I suspect I kinda trash her cause I didn't have the correct hairstyle (the wig gotten delayed by another month cause the supplier not sure if I want tighter waves), tiara or the skin tone (must buy more proper makeups like Liquid Foundation, Concealer, Lipstick and trim my eyebrows!). And like before, I was using Felt Ear tips. Anyhow, the next time I do her again, I'm sure I'll be better. -__^

There is as many categories as last year, unfortunately. >__< Best Male & Female and Best Team. And no 2nd or 3rd placing, not even an announcement or a cert. Guess the advices I gave to Takahan had fallen into deaf ears. Anyhow, hope next year will be better; am not expecting to win but hoping the standards of the event can be raised to USA level, at least when it was in its infancy.

Other than that, no other comments.


Glueing That Ears
I unlurked myself again at the LOTR Costumes ML and asked for advices on what glue I should use to glue my ears. 3 of them recommanded PROS-AIDE ADHESIVE, said it had been proven to be effective for those who are very sweaty. Will order it when I got to know how much is the shipping cost and I got the money. For times being, guess it's Spirit Gum for me.

On another note, gonna send my photos of me in my Arwen & Galadriel Costumes as soon as I find some good, Front, Back & Side and Posing photos of it. Want to be the first Singaporean to be displayed there! -__^


More Ears
Called up Jewel's Costumes & Costumes & Mascot and guess what; they said they may carry those Woochies 2 Space Ears. @__@ And all this times I thot I have to order them directly from USA! Cost around the same price as the US ones (USD10). Planned to drop by Costumes & Mascots today to check it out since Joy said she got it at hand.


More Cosplay Events Before MAC?

Not another one? I thot I can take a break from cosplaying so that I can fully concentrate on my LOTR costumes but seems not. NO! I can't give in! Must concentrate all my resources on my LOTR Costumes (and of course, Moaning Myrtle). Need to upgrade my Sevothtarte Costume too since I wasn't happy about it still.


What I Been Waiting For Is On Sale
Cheesecloth is on sale at Spotlight! ^__^ The usual Less SGD1 discount but I'm buying at least 10m so every dollar savings counts! -__^ Will get the 10m after July 12th (sale starts on July 10th).

Must also find where got sell Cotton-Poly cloth for SGD1/m or less. Will need lots to make the mock-up for my LOTR & HP costumes so the cheaper the better. Don't care if the cloth is plain or patterned as long as it's cheap and is cotton-poly like. -__^

Okay, got to save some CosFest photos and then get ready to go out to check out those ears.

I Did It! ^__^
I had placed the Order for my Elven Ears and Spirit Gum from Germany and it cost USD28.56. If everything goes well, I should receive them in about 7-14 working days (it took 1 1/2 week to arrive to USA East Coast). Yub, go ahead and took the risk to have the items delivered by normal Airmail instead of being insuranced.

Will have to ask Julia or maybe Freshmeat to also help me get 1-2 Woochie 2 Ears and get them delivered to me by Airmail (no hurry though; it's for days when I have to quickly apply the ears or for other elves -__^ ) as soon as I got the cash to spare. And if Freshmeat or Eriol is coming back before November, must also get them to buy for me a whole big bottle of Liquid Latex (the ones sold in Singapore is soooo small; smaller than those Poster Color Bottle), probably in Flesh and Black/Grey color.

Will try to write the CosFest report later tonite. Must shut down the computer for awhile first to rest.

Ps: Mini Maul sulking again cause I bought another LOTR item rather than more Maul stuffs. -__^

Quick Note:
Doing the Belt for Galadriel Gown currently. Has made the backing so now off to the sewing machine to sew the 2 sides together and later the Trimming & its backing. Hope it works or tomolo I'll ended up not wearing a belt! @__@

Anyhow, gotten the gown just now and it's nicer than my Rose Dress; okay cause the collar wasn't that low. But I realized that I should had added Acetate Lining or Cotton Lining cause every time I sweat, it shows on the dress. @__@ So when I got the money and time, must make for myself a little tight cotton underdress like what those Victorian wear. What is it called? Chemise?

Other than that, Yazid is irritating me. Want me to get him 4 copies of Anakin's picture. WTF! My printer is spoilt and my bro's has no Black Ink! And he expect me to print those stuffs? And he also expected me to find him 4 pictures of Anakin from my collection meaning sacrified my magazines? Crazy!!! My own pictures I had to sneak and print on my dad's computer (and 2 pictures to a page!). Well, will not help him this time.

Gonna close my "borrowing" shop too. Feel like not bringing the Combat Boots either cause I got lots of photo albums to bring tomolo to show the reporter from BH's Info-R and the Malaysian Cosplayers.

I haven't start doing my Galadriel Belt. >__< And there is only 1 1/2 day to the event. Must start on the mock-ups tonight and sew the actual tomorrow when I get back from Tanjang Pagar to receive the Malaysian Cosplayers.

Nope, not going to embroidery the belt I think cause I'm at loss where on the trimming I can embroidery so I got to figure out how to weight it down for this Sun. But I'm following the basic pattern of Galadriel's Prolog Dress Belt so got to do some calculation of angles too. -__^

My seamstress said I can only take this Sat in the evening cause she has lots of clothings to settle currently. >__< Hope it'll come out well and the collar not too low as my Arwen Rose Dress. I need SGD50 to allow myself to wear low cut collar dresses comfortably and that is something I don't have this Month or even next (Must settle the Witchking Sword first!). Anyhow strangely, only Hansplast is offering the item; wonder what happened to the ones by 3M.

Anyhow, later today I'll be going to a little Press Photoshoot for CosFest. Didn't wet and braid my hair just now so I'll end up as straight hair Arwen today. Wonder if I should get someone to help me do a French Braid or something instead.

Oh! I had posted the photos from the May 17th The Matrix Reloaded SW FanForce Outing and the June 21st OotP Book Release in my Yahoo! Photo Album. Will remove some of the photos from the OotP album on the request of the person featured later, just before I post the link at the Forum. Julia had basically done most parts of her Haldir Elven Archer Armor! It's looks great for something done using paper mache & some clay. Wish I can do as well as her but I'm still learning how to sew beyong cloaks and props making skills still a bit shakey. Well, some day! ^__^
